Good god am i glad i'm german right now. Germany has it's own dub and while the lyrics are obviously different, they used the same instrumentals for the songs so nothing got butchered and it feels just as good as watching sub now, if not better seeing as i dont need to read and can focus on the action.

Paildramon was simply much more badass in anime than his Mega form. Imperialdramon's design was maybe cooler, but the fact that he repeatedly failed on-screen (vs SkullSatamon, vs Daemon, vs BelialVamdemon) didn't make a good impression. Instead, Paildramon only decently failed against BlackWarGreymon, which was completely understandable because he was at a higher level anyway. And yeah, Triceramon was about to take him but it happened largely because of Mummymon's assistance. So Paildramon left a more effective impression overall. At least he was beating Digimons that were at his level, unlike Imperialdramon. The same goes for HolyAngemon and Seraphimon. HolyAngemon had good showings against Piedmon and BlackWarGreymon, while Seraphimon has never done much but jobbed.

They changed the entire soundtrack for pretty much every dub, actually. I'd imagine it's because back in the 90s, the studio was afraid of kids being turned away by the Japanese insert songs so they just replaced everything? But it's still really dumb. Weirdest one was Frontier. Every big moment Duskmon has is scored with this really cool indie-rock insert song and they're all genuinely pretty great, but because the score was replaced, they ripped ALL of it out. BUT they still understood that some scenes were based around the music, so they had to try to re-create some tracks and it's just such a weird thing to pour so much effort into.

the dub was the best, the hate it gets is from people in countries that didn't have it and were forced to watch the JP sub. The worst part is they always hate on the dub but rarely do the dub fans hate on them for some of the worst shit they have like the voice actors. Why can't they just use the Japanese BGM version for this, it was more badass..... both the English and French opening are practical the same, atleast the Brazilian version has better mix then the other two.....but the english version used in the evolution, I JUST HATE IT SOO MUCH!!!! Every time I hear this version I feel like I just wanna b-slap the one that made the song and those that approved this to be used officially, I don't mind that much if it is used as the opening, but for the fight scene/evolution sequence which just ruins the whole experience for me, I'll just mute the rest of the episode and read the subtitles....
