All I can think of would possibly be LackeyCCG, but since that is for any TCG game, the rules are only enforced by the players. Unfortunately, that does mean that it's at times difficult for me to remember what all to do. I also haven't the foggiest how to play in Lackey with others.

Looks a lot better thought out than in the first version of the game. No more symbols to decode and straight "highest power wins defaults with extra effects" with a generational mana system similar to a mobile game I played once. Also in this iteration no mill decks and no mana overflow strats that I see. Very nice! Almost makes me wanna play but sadly all my friends into digimon still at this age live online. Maybe they'll make a mobile game one day similar to Arena or Duel Links so we can all indulge.

This game sounds like a lot of fun, I especially like how they went with a shared pool for the action-point mana thing. It means that being able to use as many points as possible is good but ending a turn with extra points gives the opponent an advantage.

oh god! thank you soo much for this video man! as a digidestined i'm obviously interested in the new anime series and also this new card game as well! but not only is it kinda hard to find good sources for this stuff, most material you find is also only in japanese... and guess what? i can't read japanese at all :( so thanks a lot for this great tutorial and sick ass editing though! i hope we can step up as a community to get recognized by the developpers so that they bring that stuff out of japan! at least count me in when you save the world, i will be there!

Solid review of the game. Some of the mechanic remind me of Duel Masters (Security = Shield, Memory=Mana). Overall, hope this game comes over to North America or they make an app version of the card game.

The win condition of the game really reminds me of Pokemon, but that´s not bad at all. In fact, it´s a great way to balance the game all around, we see what problems Yugioh has with the entire life point rulings and burn effects and so on. It actually reminds me of some sorta mix of Pokemon and Yugioh, which is not only how I´d describe Digimon´s target audience, but also a way for me to say it´s the best of both worlds. I hope this TCG makes it big, it´s time Digimon gets its own physical medium for play.

These mechanics feel similar to Vanguard and Duel Masters, which i'm not against, honestly this is good since it'll help people who play those games transition over. I hope to give this one a chance since I haven't played the game since the original one came out way back in the early 2000's and even then Upperdeck massacred that game when they added and changed things from the original japanese version of the card game. thanks for the video

Very informative video as we now know it has a English release, I still have a few questions and would be awesome to get some answers XD With option cards can they only be played on your turn or can you play them to interrupt opponents play ? Can you send a digimon from the raising area into the battle area at any level ? Also with the raising area can you send out a digimon and start raising on the same turn ? Is there a mulligan if starting hand is bad ? Lastly, what is everyone's favourite digimon XD

Ok but one KEY thing you missed is how Memory is managed at the beginning of the turns. Are you able to Use ANY amount of memory from the get-go? Are you able to use 12 memory turn 1 and summon a mega?

You are right! I didn't explicitly state what happens in that situation, however you can kind of piece together from different parts of the video of how it would work, but I can definitely understand why it seems unclear in the video, and that's a mistake on my part. This comment should help clear it up. :) References: 4:59 - The memory gauge has a max value of ten, and cannot go above this number 6:32- You can use cards provided you have the memory to play them Because both sides of the memory counter have a max value of 10 on each side and you pass over the remaining memory of a card that was used to your opponent, the maximum amount of memory you could use from 1 card is 20 memory and that is only if your memory counter is on 10. In your situation, if you start your turn with the memory counter on 0 (turn 1), then you have 10 memory to work with, So you don't have the 12 memory available for you to play a 12 cost mega turn 1. I hope this makes sense, and I hope I cleared this up for you. I know it was implied and could of been clearer, but your comment is much appreciated, because I'm sure a lot of other people had the same question! Thanks :)

I'm still a little confused on how the memory gauge works.

Cards have a cost to play on the top left of the corner, when you pass zero the turn is changed, however all attacks and effects that were in the middle of their process must resolve and be completed before switching turns. If you do not want to use memory or are just unable to use memory, you may pass your turn which puts your opponent at 3 memory. Hope that helps.

This is a lot like the Godzilla card game that was released. Same memory system (Godzilla call it chrono for time). Attack a "Guardian Stack" and effects have symbols for shorthand instead of full-text like YuGiOh Also same attacking mechanics. If not sideways (engaged) you can attack over it and such.

“When played” and “on play” are the same thing meaning you have to play the card from your hand on to the battle area unless it specifies otherwise. Like for instance “ angemon has a skill where it says “on play” -3000 dp from any of your opponents digimon. So essentially you would have to play it from hand on to the battle area.

Scoop Nation is right for the most part. I think a better way of putting it is whenever a digimon hits the field without evolution sources. Card's "When played" effects trigger when you use cards like Kaiser nails, metalgarurumon(blue BT1), Leopardmon etc... as well.

is there a limit to how many active digimon you can have? the video showed 2 when it looked like 3 would be full but possibly more since it wasn't stated? Also, it was mentioned that you can only attack resting digimon and security cards. Can you attack the security cards at any time or do the opponent's digimon block them like how monsters are in yugioh? Another question, you can digivolve a digimon into any digimon that is one stage higher as long as the colour matches is that correct?

1. No limit on how many digimon you can have on the board active or rested. 2. Blocker is an effect. Digimon without blocker cannot block. Security checks can be blocked by a Blocker Digimon. If blocked the security checks do not occur unless stated otherwise(ex: Pierce effect) 3. Cards are not what need to match color. On Digimon cards it will tell you the requirements to digivolve in the circle with evo cost. It will tell you what lvl digimon you need to come from as well as what color. The color is represented by the color of the background of the evo cost.

Cant you attack with a Digimon that was moved to the field from the raising area in the same turn? Also, do I have to use effects even if I don't want to? For example, effects that allowed an evolved Digimon to take someone from its line and place it on the field. Are all effects reusable?

Yes you can attack with digimon coming straight from the raising area as that card was not played but instead raised/bred. For your second question if the effect says "you may" then it is optional.

Couple questions: After reading the rule book, when you have a Digimon that can block, does battle occur between the two or is the attack just nullified? And if you are at 0 memory, and you pass your turn does the opponent still get 3? Incentive-wise, you want to spend memory until you at least give them one to start their turn?

1. A battle occurs the surviving digimon is the one with the most DP 2. Yes, your opponent will always start with 3 memory if you pass turn. Passing turn puts your opponent at 3 memory. Passing is generally something you don't wan't to do.

Yes multi-colored decks are allowed. The current colors revealed are Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. With leaks suggesting Black and Purple will be coming in the second Booster Box, however nothing is officially confirmed by Bandai on Black and Purple as far as I know.

@@TurboZera No problem. You didn't miss it. I don't have official representation of each color. As of right now: Red is featuring an agressive style of play with +Security checks, as well as pierce, it also showcases dragon and bird type digimon, however it seems like those digimon are not exclusive to the color as we have seen Veedramon being a blue colored card. Blue has shown beast and aquatic digimon such as bearmon, and gomamon. The blue color cards are the most versatile and excel at draw power, reactivation of cards, removal of evolution sources, increasing your memory, and +security attack. Yellow features holy digimon such as angemon, and and angewoman. The yellow cards are good at defensive strategies. Effects of cards revolve around lowering opponent digimon DP, turning digimon into blockers, and recovering security cards, as well as boosting security digimons DP. Green features plants, insects, and I believe nature digimon(ogremon is green maybe because hes an ogre and ogres live in a swamp???). Green is the color we have the least information on as it has the least amount of cards revealed. Green revolves around effects having that rest digimon digivolving effects, effects that revolve around having high level digimon(like level 5) on the field, effects the require opponent digimon to be in rest, and low digivolution costs. There is more information about each card and I can really go on and on about the cards on the deck, but I would say thats the general gist of each color.

It still gets destroyed. All security cards are destroyed unless the card's security effect says otherwise. Currently Digimon cards do not have security effects. It's something that I feel could happen later, but as of right now there are none that have any. Also you do not recover security if your security digimon wins the battle.

@@BeliasLP yes, if your security digimons DP is higher than your opponents digimon, then yes the opponents digimon is destroyed. In this case both Digimon that participated in the battle are destroyed. 1. Security Digimon always get destroyed(unless an effect says otherwise, in the current meta there is nothing like that) 2. The opponents digimon gets destroyed because it lost the battle. Hope this helps

If YOU play a card or use an effect of a card that gives you + memory then you will move closer to 10. If your OPPONENT has an effect that gives them + memory and the effect is triggered on your turn then your counter should go closer to zero. Hope that makes sense and helps! :)
