I haven't seen anyone else make the connection before but I always thought the three digimon are meant to symbolically represent the Sky (Siriusmon), Land (Diarrbitmon) and Sea (Amphimon) respectively. Even personality wise, the depth and emotional waves being symbolic of the ocean with Jellymon, the grounded and tangible experience being comparable to the land with Angoramon, and the star-struck exploration and subconscious freedom like the night sky with Gammamon.

The vast cosmos. The clear Sky. The deep ocean. By far Ghost Game has the best theme out of all the series. Tamers will be 1st because they created the new era but ghost game carried it on. The theme for ghost game is maturity. Siriusmon & Diarbbitmon clearly show it. But Amphimon probably has the best and most unique form of maturity. Because while Thetismon sounds matured from its early forms of TeslaJellymon/Jellymon, Amphimon embraces her childish nature but has grown to love humans just like kiyoshiro has grown to like people. After all it is said that real maturity is when you embrace your childish side again and this was done perfectly with Amphimon for the theme of ghost game.

Amphimon is half mecha/human but honestly has hints of blitzmon design so its the equivalent to megagargomon just not a giant. Diarbbitmon is sakuyamon which is the standard animal becoming more human which is seen constantly in digimon and Japanese Lore. Siriusmon is gallantmon and the popular dragon or warrior/knight will always be the trend.

Siriusmon is and always will be my favorite mainly because I really prefer the galaxy motif and the simplicity of this but Amphimon is a close second because I didn’t like her at first but after this, I definitely do and the fact she keeps the playfulness of Jellymon while still being mature is quite nice yet hilarious, all of them are beyond exquisite yet fascinating!!!

I couldn't stop watching the recent episode Ghost Game, cause I'd never thought I'd instantly love Amphimon more than I thought. I didn't like the design at first. But, the way that it had its playful personality; kinda like Teslajellymon herself, I couldn't help not smiling throughout the entire evolution sequence. I love how each mega of the three represents pretty much earth itself. Siriusmon represents the stars of the night's sky, Dilbitmon represents the wind and nature's treasures, and Amphimon represents the vast oceans and how it can be both beautiful and dangerous at the same time. Amphimon is honestly my favorite out of three, honestly because I love Jellymon and once again, this episode and episode 29 is why I love Kyioshiro so much.

Kiyoshiro’s not my favorite character but I can honestly respect that opinion because one aspect that I really love about Kiyoshiro and Jellymon is their connection with each other and while Siriusmon is still my personal favorite, Amphimon is a genuinely close second because I will admit that I didn’t like the design at first either but the playfulness of her definitely changed my perspective on this and honestly a excellent observation for each Mega considering that Amphimon represents the sea, Diarbbitmon is winds/nature and Siriusmon obviously representing the stars of the night sky (my favorite mainly because it’s aesthetically pleasing for me), its visual storytelling between all three is exceptionally beautiful and I really, really love it a lot!!! 🥰😍

I admit, the best bit is how each Digimon grabs their partner and carries them until they are engulfed by the data, causing the partner to fly off to watch in awe. Sure it may seem odd, but it makes me wonder if the humans had received something like the Tamers (in season 3) did, they would be able to biomerge with their partners and the real reason they’re thrown off is because they’re not made of data.

Gammamon, Angoramon & Jellymon get their Mega when Hiro, Ruli & Kiyoshiro are the only one left to save everyone. For example:- Siriusmon - Kuzuhamon replaces Ruli, Kiyoshiro & the people with dolls. Hiro was the only one left. Diarbbitmon - AncientSphinxmon turns Hiro, Kiyoshiro & people into blocks & stack into Giant Pyramid. Ruli was only one left. Agreed! I thought it would be gammamons line. But made a line from Patamon (my favorite rookie) > Prairiemon > Lamortmon > Diarbitmon. Prairiemon fits so many themes with this line a ties to together. Prairie is even a French term originally like La Mort, so the naming works, and a prairie(meaning meadow) is shown in Diarbitmons evolution sequence too. Prairiemons ear blades kind of look like Lamortmons swords, and his gauntlets are almost the same design around the wrist too.

I can't quite describe why this makes me feel emotional. Maybe it's because I'm proud that Hiro and the others got this far on their own. In other series, they was usually a guiding force helping the digidestined towards the Mega level. At most, the Ghost Game team only got a digivice update to let them warp to Ultimate from Rookie.

In terms of how bad the things leading to the megas were, I think all of them are the same, because humans were in a really bad situation, though I'd say Lamortmon had to deal with the most dangerous one, because AncientSphinxmon should be more powerful than Kuzuhamon and Cthyllamon imo. In terms of evo's animation Kiyo & Jelly got the best treatment, followed by Hiro's and Ruri's. However, I think Siriusmon got the most beautiful one because it literally resembles a synchro from YGO 5DS, almost like if Canoweissmon was being tuned up. In terms of introduction and fighting, right after the sequence finished, all three were done right, and each one gets a focus in something specific: Sirius uses sophisticated weapons, Diarbittmon knows swordmanship and Amphimon seems to be a good close and long range fighter. In terms of design, Amphimon takes the spot in originality, while Diarbittmon reminded me of Sakuyamon, and Siriusmon seems a weird mix of Omnimon+Dukemon+Wargreymon+astronomy(of which I'm a fool for, given gamma rays, quasars, GRBs, stars and etc. are present in Gammamon's lore). Lastly, in terms of fighting power Sirius wins hands down, followed by Diarbittmon, who fought AncienSphinxmon, a powerful ancient mega, part of the legendary warriors, and Amphimon at last (for now).

Siriusmon and Amphimon definitely had the best debuts in terms of animation quality while Diarbbitmon sadly got the short end of the stick; all three were exceptional in their ways and everyone’s got their own personal preferences but I really love Siriusmon because while it is bland to some, I always love the constellation/gamma ray theming of Gammamon in which it’s always been my personal favorite and preference of the trio alongside the fact it definitely reminds me of a synchro from Yugioh 5ds in which is aesthetically beautiful for me and my favorite evolution sequence despite both Diarbbitmon and Amphimon having better animations along with the fact that Gammamon evolving into a very powerful yet kindhearted warrior is quite breathtaking in my heart and we still have Regulusmon, Arcturusmon and Proximamon yet to be revealed in which I am very hyped for whenever the time comes around!!! 😊☺️💫✨

I think that Amphimon is the most durable/balanced while Siriusmon would definitely win in fighting power; I was honestly very surprised how he managed well against Lilithmon and even Siriusmon himself was still victorious against Kuzuhamon despite being disadvantaged considering that Data type Digimon like Kuzuhamon have a major advantage against Vaccine Digimon in which Siriusmon is and that’s saying something; we still have to cover Regulusmon, Arcturusmon and Proximamon alongside the digital world, black Digimon and Hiro’s dad!!! (still can’t trust him personally)

He's based on an Irish myth guy (Diarmuid) that had two swords and two spears and the names of the swords and spears are the same. Though one sword and spear were considered better than the others and he would either the better sword/spear or the lesser sword/spear set based on the quests needs, instead of using both swords and spears at the same time like Diarbitmon.

Okay this is gonna sound weird but I’m kinda happy Amphimon doesn’t look super feminine. TBH... I kinda have a bit of a headcanon about how these guys would all sound in an english dub. For me, Gammamon's line would be... Erika Harlacher - Gammamon Sean Schemmel - Gammamon's Advanced Forms I bring this combination up because I see a unique effect that idk if anyone's tried to really take advantage of in Digimon be it official or abridged. That being, since they're supposed to be data, like imagine Canoweissmon like speaking with Gammamon's voice overlapping his own, like it was taking everything he had to just *stay* Canoweissmon a bit longer when Kuzuhamon has both him and Hiro at its mercy. I also say it because in all honesty, who wouldn't expect like an extra roar from Sean at that moment of surging power sending Canoweissmon along the Digivolution to Siriusmon. That said, I brought up Sean Schemmel because as a side effect of GulusGammamon, I could also only hear his Goku Black voice for Gammamon's shadow.

The other two I see like for differing reasons -Angoramon: Zach Agilaur -His Digivolution Line: Alejandro Saab OR Kyle Herbert The big thing about Angoramon's line would be Lamortmon, because you'd have to make that Digimon sound plenty bestial, like barely holding on to control of itself, if you take its DRB entry into account. Then the calm passion of Diarbbitmon is why I brought up Alejandro and Kyle, because I feel like you could have either of them dub that moment Jellymon's i'll be honest... I kinda only see one voice for her by comparison to both Gammamon and Angoramon, that being Melissa Fahn, because she's able to manage her voice well enough to make herself sound distinct (If you're familiar with Hyperdimension Neptunia, you should know exactly how I meant that)

An amusing detail I find missing which (minor nitpick) hurts the 2nd and 3rd Mega Digivolutions for me a bit... we see Hiro's Digivice like 'surging' in a sense like the timer's seemingly 'running out' but smth's fighting back against that. Why didn't they show that on Diarbbitmon and Amphimon's buildups? Was it just 'easier' for them to go to Mega because Hiro shattered the 'timer' first, opening the door for the other two?

You can come back and either say im a genius for making this prediction or you can say "that aged well" All 3 mega digimon are gonna fuse and thats gonna be the "omnimon" of the season there is still quite some episodes of Ghost game left and we already have the mega's and not alot of plot for the final villian yet. Not to mention the final boss is most likely gullusgammamon in mega. and he is already on Ultimate/mega level as a champion so it would make sense for them to obtain a DNA digivolution by the end. How they are gonna do it and such i have no clue. But i dont feel like Siriusmon would even beat Regulusmon from what we have heard about it so far. (Its literally able to just straight up eat digimon and devour all their data) and thats just the ultimate form :/

If it wasn't for that hacking incident that got all the bandai animations put on a hiatus for months I'm sure the ending of Ghost Game wouldn't have been rushed, the show would have had its full run with at least another 20-30 episodes, and we'd have gotten Arcturusmon and then the two would have fused into Proxiamon to fight off whatever it would have been as the final enemy that kinda just got shrugged off when all the plot threads just had to end within 4 episodes suddenly.

siriusmon looks like just another dragon knight digimon... i think this isn't the best they could make with starlight + high tech + triceratops + knight concept. how those keywords made such basic generic mega design?? i really like the other two mega's design. they at least bring something to the table.
