Got into the V-pets for the first time in February, and ended up having so much fun with them that I now have five (two 20th and all three wave 1 PenZ) and a preorder for the PenZ wave 2 triple pack on the way. Don't know how all you guys have yours already, mine won't ship until the end of April, so I'm a bit jealous! But anyway, I just wanted to say that your guides and resources have been immensely helpful along the way, so thanks very much and keep up the good work!

So far what I can tell is if you ensure no care mistakes at all, and efforts 4 all the way, you would get this evolution line: pururumon > poromon > pomumon > parasaumon > toropiamon

Hi Humulos, I've read your guide and was surprised that V-mon doesn't evolve into XV-mon (and was the guide still incomplete?) Judging from the pattern from Wormmon, is it safe to assume that it takes 0-1 care mistakes and 4 effort for V-mon to evolve into XV-mon?

Very safe to assume that, which is exactly why I haven't tested it myself yet haha. I tend to save the more obvious top-care evolutions until the end of my testing, especially since people will generally submit those to me during their normal raising. I only put verified evolutions on the guide though, so even though I am basically 100% sure that V-mon evolves to XV-mon with few care mistakes and high effort, I can't add it until verified.

I wish Digimon vpets looked more like the tamagotchi On or similar. And had the color XD The idea and general feature-set of Digimon seems amazing but I can't get around the rugged/toy look to actually get into it. Also replace the shaking with a quick neat minigame (maybe different depending on what digimon/evolution line you are currently in, to keep things fresh and the mons unique as you go) and I think that could be the perfect vpet.

Mine are on their way. Is there a guaranteed way of winning enough battles to evolve to Perfect, like there is for the 20th anniversary original by restarting the battle level?

Your victories do not matter for these, only your experience level, so you won't have any problems there at all. You can lose as many battles as you like as long as you level up enough.

@@garrick5873 The evolution will still occur at a specific time, you just have to have the requirements met before that time comes, including the care mistakes and level.

What does removing the pendulum achieve ? Does it actually not serve a function and it's actually just an accelerometer reading the shakes ?

Yeah the pendulum itself does nothing, and for me I mostly just remove it because I have to do so to do the debug mod I do, and I hate putting it back on. Other people will remove it simply because they don't like the noise it makes, and the device still operates exactly as intended with it removed.

Is the pendulum removal mod simple to do? Cause personally it just sounds like an empty spray paint can. Plus when I’m public it’s actually kind of loud. So I’m pretty interested in how to mod it.

Very, just requires a JIS 1 or 0 screwdriver. Unscrew the back, gently flip the back portion over (the speaker is connected to the back of the shell, so you need to make sure you don't yank it off) and then unscrew the pendulum.

Looking at the evolution guide, seems like the only way to get a lot of the Perfect levels is to Jogress, like Holy Angemon for instance can only be attained by Angemon Jogressing with Ankylomon? That's annoying...

The guide is currently very incomplete, so those are just the only results verified as of yet. More results will be added with time, and each Adult and Perfect will have one natural evolution as well.

Ok so progress.i should be able to order my vb on the 3rd of this month. Dims....oh boy dims...yeah that's a problem atm. Figure that out later and as for Amazon jp. So far I'm doing alright with it. Honestly unless you particularly like another roster, there's nothing wrong with getting just one. Of course you need to do connections to get some evolution options, but if you'd rather not spend a ton of money to do that, you can just use a D-Com instead.

You cannot, the Pendulum Z can only Jogress with other Pendulum Z devices, or with Digimon stored in backup.

Does anyone know as to whether DMX and Pen.Z screens are made of plastic or glass? I used Displex to remove a few hairline scratches on my DMX Ver.2 but it had no effect. I even used the appropriate and provided cloth and buffed vigorously... Online forums have been no help either. So if Displex isn't the answer, then what is? Cuz I don't imagine I can just remove Displex and apply something else.

They are indeed plastic. Displex should work after a while, but some scratches may be too mighty

Specifically you would need to have at least the Nightmare Soldiers and Metal Empire devices. Alternatively you can also use a D-Com to fake the connections.

I mean, that's basically what ViBu Z is. Agumon (2006) line = dragon, Guilmon line = dragon, Shoutmon line = dragon, Duramon = dragon, AncientGreymon = dragon, Goddramon = dragon, Qinglongmon = dragon. And while not exclusive, Huanglongmon and Lucemon Satan Mode are both dragons as well. Even Imperialdramon Paladin Mode (though available on all the Pen 20ths and Zs) is a dragon.

It's a debug mode, activated by soldering a connection on the front of the circuit board, underneath the screen, labeled JP1. Activating debug mode allows me to advance time and choose Digimon from a menu so I can test their evolutions quickly.

I have a question for owners of the Virus Buster device, has anyone else’s device been collecting dust-like specks that can’t be wiped off? What is that and how would you suggest cleaning it?

You may just be seeing a normal part of the design, many people describe their device as resembling French vanilla Ice Cream due to the black specks. As for cleaning, a small out amount of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol is the best way to go, just don't scrub too hard.
