For the first deck profile of BT15, it's time to cover the ins and outs of Apocalymon along with two specific variants that are likely to be floating around. This deck will be full power from the dates of February 9th to March 1st. After which, it will be a whole new game.

another amazing engine for apocallymon is the raidenmon engine cause it can just add 4 level 6s immediatelly underneath so lets say you play apocally with 3 dark masters from trash for 3 memory end of turn put raidemon underneath trigger raiden on play put the other 3 underneath gain 3 memory trash 14 cards from enemy deck

This deck needs Psychemon to prevent your opponent from dropping Apocalymon

Remember, Psychemon does affect both players. In looking over some of the lists for Japan and testing on my end, I felt that if your opponent Apocalymons you, this does help speed up your trash for potential of Apocalymon'ing them back. Then it becomes simply a race of who decks out first.

@@DIGI-PANDA well yeah I get it, but you can slow down your opponent’s apocalymon with Psychemon until you set up your own. Then when you do go into your own use the bt3 Piedmon to drop 1 or 2 Psychemon so your opponent. Doesn’t have an answer for it.

Psychemon will help slow down Anubismon which is a common counter to Apocalymon

Personally I don’t think I enjoy this deck as much, I like Apocalymon and think the archetype makes sense just doesn’t seem that fun to play against or with, like it feels so broken that it isn’t fun

Even with the conceptual cards I made not once but twice, I felt that a lot of the wording of this card had a lot that needed to be fixed upon it's initial reveal. Though as I've looked into more and more engines to play this Digimon, it just felt too good.

Why would you even include Alt Arts in your data for this video? Without alt arts? There’s only 70 level 6s with on plays. Including alt arts just adds fake data points that arent even usable cards.

I use predominantly digimoncard.dev when I filter cards for my searches. Honestly, since there's no way to remove alt arts, I didn't know how many level 6's have one or two alt arts. One other issue with the filter was that it looked for any card that had the keyword on play. Meaning this also included Digimon with When Digivolving effects that play Digimon and do not activate their ON PLAY effects. Honestly was on a time crunch with my weekend availability and did not want to spend the time finding it. If there's a resource that does filter out alt arts, please advise!

I felt with the introduction of Choice Restrictions, they could have gone this route for Apocalymon instead of hitting it to 1.

@@DIGI-PANDA i also feel like they could unhit certain banlist cards and make them in choice restrictions. Example purple gabumons with the new x antibody line.

Apocalymon needed to be limited even if you choice restrict it with some of the level 6s from outside the archetype it’s still a problem based of the non exsistent generic trash interaction outside of purple and omnimon merciful mode

@@dlscrub6207 i replied to a video with a really dumb thing which could even happen while apocallymon is restricted And that is apocallymon end of turn put raidenmon underneath on play put 3 more level 6s below trash like 14 16 cards 1st time apocallymon procs
