As an avid Gallant player, I don't agree with a few things of this list, but I do admire your style and editing. It's very aware of the algorithims the KZbin God's favor and it has me hoping your channel gets picked up by the winds of viewership. Very well made, friend. Earned a sub.

Much appreciated! My list has changed quite a bit since, especially as I'm trying to tailor it to handle Beelze and Hunters. Any suggestions in particular? I'd be very happy to revisit this at the end of the format.

@Kevinski TCG Sure! First, at its core we really have the same deck, right? Gallant is Gallant after all. Its always just a conversation of ratios. Your techs are really cool, but I have never been sold on Calumon. With all the quick deletion out there, it being wiffable on search, and its ability just being done better on BT-12 Wargrowl, I'd either cut it or run it at 2. A one of is pretty much nonexistent. Same for Analog Youth. Your reasoning is definitely sound, but if I were to run a tamer outside of Takato, it'd probably be a Cool Boy. I don't run it that way anymore. I have 4 EX-2 Takato and 2 BT-12 Takato but if I were to stay similar to your build, it'd be that; adjusting my X-Antibody line up to compensate. Even throwing in a Jesmon GX if you were. I ran that in BT-10 as a one of and it put in work. Currently, I am running 2 of each X-antibody and 3 of EX-3 Wargrowl. The extra draws are just great. You are certainly right that you don't want to go into EX-3 Wargrowl too often, especially with the new Growlmon just being better, but it is a card I want to see semi often as I am not guaranteed to get my BT-12 Growl effect off. Next, I don't think I am going down to two Gallant X. It's still one of the best Lv 6's for the deck, imo. Same with BT-12 Gallant. Definitely at least a three of there, too. As much as I love Starter Gallant. This deck has never really been about big swings and I think we tried too hard in BT-9 to force the OTK strat. With Raid, it's clearly cemented as a board control deck that can take advantage of it. I'd say, drop it down to one at most. But, as you mentioned, Beelze is a problem right now. So, what's our response? My current Lv 6 line up is 3 BT-12 Gallant, 3 Gallant X, and...2 BT-2 Gallant. Crimson at home. But why? This card has never really been good, but it is a lot better now. Let's look at an ideal turn one or turn two for Gallant: More than likely you are going to drop a Warp/BT-12 Guilomon in raising and slam your searcher EX-2 Guilo to dig for resources. Since our Guilo is already out there, digivolving into your BT-12 line is preferable. But a warp Guilo in raising is one of the best punishments to a Beezle comboing off. They drop their warp Imp at 20 cards, or combo into their Baal at 10, and you have a free level 6 that is trashing and checking one card at least. But it can often do more. That can come out well after your stack you have been building in the battle area has been putting in the work with BT-12 Gallant, X, and Crimson. Obviously, you don't need to keep a Warp in raising the whole game, but it is a swift response to the Beelze play line.

@@AshtonTheMelon Wow, that was actually more than I could have asked for! Thank you! There's a lot to take in here, but there are definitely a few takeaways: - I'll have to think about going back to the heavier X-antibody count, and by extension, bringing Cool Boy back in. At least Level 5, you're forced to play the x-antibody since EX3 is VERY risky right now. - Calumon is definitely not worth it. I can't see myself playing two since the deck is so tight. I'd rather be running the extra Analog Youth for the added consistency and trash setup for BT12 Takato. - I have actually splashed in BT2 Gallantmon before to punish Beelzemon players, but my good it's let me down. The low DP is somewhat patched by the BT12 line, but I find it never quite gets the job done. I thought it would be a nice way to steal games, but in my experience, it's been dead. That said, I can never seem to close out Beelzemon with Crimson Mode, so... - I am going to adjust my play style to match what you've laid out. The worst thing is having to take a turn off versus Beelze, so keeping the warp/decent rookie in the back seems good. That said, I've had bad experiences building up out front because they always mill the damn Blast Mode 😭. - Gonna up my counts of BT12 Gallantmon for sure. I thought being more memory efficient would save me more in the Beelze matchup, but it hasn't made a difference. ST Gallantmon has been nice in other matchups, but hey, you gotta play into the meta.

Nice list! Specially i like the Analog youth idea. In my opinion, running ex2 wargrowlmon is too risky in beelze meta. Also not including bt12 gallant playset seems not too good to me. While the 4 playcost dcan be sad, the card has just too much value to not playing four of it. There is a another hard matchup for gallantmon: Machindramon is a big problem. You cant delete it or swing over it cuz of the protection. And my tip for playing against beelze: just go all in. Dont give them too much space and try to delete there stuff. Since we have Crimson, the game is lit over when they reach 20 cards in trash. Leaved the sub right there. Keep up ur work mate.

Definitely been tweaking the list because I’m still getting bodied by Beelzemon. I hate having to hide in raising with EX3 WarGrowlmon. Still, it’s a frustrating matchup because they always blow up your stack or flood the board and rookie rush. Can never quite get there. Gonna keep adjusting the Gallantmon lineup, and will try the BT12 at four again.

Honestly, kinda wild seeing a list that doesn't run a full playset of BT12 Gallant, but that 4 playcost can be killer. If the decklist wasn't so tight, combining it with X Antibody to digivolve into the X variant for the unsuspend would be such an easy inclusion.

Totally hear you. I love the BT12 Gallantmon so much, but that 4-cost is a killer. I was even considering a one-of BT2 Gallant to mess with Beelzemon, but in every other matchup, the 4-cost evo really messes things up at times. Dropping the x-antibody is big sad too, but I've bricked so many times with it that Red Memory Boost became a must. But I will see if I can peel off one BT12 Takato to sneak it back in. So far, the memory setter has been clutch though at three. You gotta see it to stay in the game.

I recently just added "60% winrate" to the deck and man does it make a difference. Keep in mind it also helps with the biomerge so thats a CHEAP gallantmon for a comeback ^_^

@@kevinski-tcg So far I'm running 1 because I still often see it a lot somehow. But its fine because even if i get desperate you can still use it for a cheaper wargrowlmon in a pinch. I can honestly see people wanting to bump it to 2 but we both know how hard it is to make room for stuff into the deck itself lol

Gallantmon is quite formidable but finds itself struggling against decks that have protect and evasion or any form of recursion.
