Digitakt 2 with Octatrack Fader

Just a quick video about a midi controller config I made, so that it simulates the Octatracks Scene fader.
One fader controls ALL 16 channels of the DT at the same time, specifically the modwheel. Also I ramble as usual, hope you get something from this video! Merry everything to everyone!

Next level idea: use that midi controller to crossfade between two elektron boxes. All you have to do after that is figure out how to headphone cue the boxes

This is fantastic! I never thought of using something like this, is this the only midi controlor that does this or do you recommand this one the most?+ How difficult is this to setup? Also love the track you made, its a toetipper!

Thank you! I am really not that familiar with other midi controllers tbh, but I suppose they aren't as open to configuring as the Intech modules. I am still in the process of really making this config work, and I will drop it, and a video for it as soon as it's ready. Regarding the difficulty, I did have to reach out to Bálint, one of the devs at Intech to help me out, he was very quick and kind to help, as always. Turns out it didn't work on his machine, but worked on mine somehow. As I said, work in progress, but the possibilities are wild with this technique!

You can check the RK002 on that, adds arp, Euclid, poly, etc to the digitakt/digitone/.. you can reroute a single midi cc from the digitakt to multiple ones to make a one-to-many OT fader. Their RK006 hosts USB and adds cvgate control as well

I like the music, I like the idea but it‘s just a macro controller for several Midi channels - not at all an Octatrack fader: super quick 16 slots, muting of scenes and assignement quicker then lightning..

I don't think all midi controllers can controll 16 channels with one fader

I believe it can be changed with the Retrokits RK002 midi cable hosting mini arduino controller that can be programmed to remapping (as well as any iConnect MioXM or XL or maybe midi4+ remapping func). I’ve made one small script for adding CC on the fly for the FCB1010 foot controller to work with the Roland RC505 looper. FCB1010 can be also used as a fader btw. Any din5 midi controller like UC33e with many faders.
