I now have a much better understanding of the Trig Cons and I have book marked this page. However, the Neg NEI trig, still has me scratching my head...LOL I have tried so many times to read the Trig Con section in the Digitakt Manual......but to no avail......I was still confused. For me, it was like reading an actual Trigonometry book. Yikes! All kidding aside, knowing and understanding the Trig Cons are crucial to learning to use the Digitakt to it's fullest. Thank you Enrique

I wanted to make a drone, a midi note that begins at the first step of a pattern, and then this pattern repeats a few times, and when the pattern changes, this note is turned off. How do I do this? I set that note to INFinite length, and 1st condition, the drone begins allright, but then, it keeps playing forever even after the song ends. I can't turn it off unless I press the panic button on my midi router. It's such a simple thing, but frustratingly I can't figure out how to do it. Looks like it's not even possible.

Very cool man. I think you forget to mention the coolest thing about the TRIG page, and this would be the two empty square boxes on the right :D They give room, room for hope that Elektron is maybe planing something very sweet for those two empty boxes, but, we don't know, but at least we can hope and this makes me feel good every time i see those two empty square boxes. But thanks for your videos. I'd love to see the Mono Station with the Digitakt in action.

you’ve played a big part in my teaching me how to implement triggers, it’s one of the biggest things I’ve come to discover about the digitakt that separates it from any groove box or drum machine. I just made a dark Minimal set last night using multiple triggers per sample at different sections in a measure with different percentage triggers to give that randomization affect through the track which is insane, absolutely love it so a big BIG thank you for filling that chapter for me.

ANY WOMEN HERE? I must say I truly enjoy your explaining of the digitakt, but sometimes the copy-pasting seems so fast, I can't keep up. Is there a video that explains that step by step? thank you! you're dope. I really hope to see more women watch your videos so that we can all jam and be as diverse as the people enjoying the music.
@AltusNoumena3 жыл бұрын
I'm just starting out on the DT as well, but from what I can tell is copy/ paste works by holding TRIG and REC to copy a track and then TRIG and PLAY to paste that track to another track. Hope that helps...

Hey Enrique - as always, your videos are a pleasure to watch. Beautifully shot, clearly explained, to the point. 👌 A quick question, how do I stop trig cutting off the previous trig when playing longer samples? They are (kind of) choking atm, and I want them to overlap. (It’s a sustained chord sample)
@kemasolar6 жыл бұрын
I didn't understand the FLT.T and the LFO.T, I thought that if you turned them off, the filter and LFO pages were not applying for those triggers, like turned filter and LFO off, but it's something else that I haven't figured out, yet. I will give it a try later :)

thanks for all the good Digitakt info, on separate subject, Enrique, besides using the external inputs for sampling, can one use the inputs for live monitoring of line level instrument, in my case Volca FM ? I’ve heard all audio gets summed to Mono, Volca FM is Mono, anyways; but I would like to know if can work w/Digitakt and at same time have Volca FM being heard ? hence not having to have a separate mixer

Nice tut! question - is there a way to always record from the beginning when live recording with a preroll, rather than starting to record from where i stopped in the track previously? hope that makes sense..
@VictorSteiner6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I was afraid to buy the Digitakt so late that it might be unwise because it is already a year old and maybe there will be a new one. Didn't expect your videos! Very happy! Is there a way on the Digitakt to hold a "gate" for a lot of trigs? I have an analog synth connected and want it to just hold its notes. Haven't found that yet, but the Digitakt Quick Guide is the most boring and worst made manual I have ever read for an instrument. The Moog ones are a lot nicer to read and learn while doing so.
@RickyTinez6 жыл бұрын
like a note sustaint? basically on and off? does your analog synth have midi in?
@VictorSteiner6 жыл бұрын
Enrique Martinez yes, a sustain over more than 1 beat. The Mother-33 has midi in but only basic controls via midi.
@RickyTinez6 жыл бұрын
yes, its the hold parameter, that'll set how long the note is held. instead of having it set to max set it to 32, or 64, etc. see how it affects the synth. that's how long the gate it held open
@VictorSteiner6 жыл бұрын
Is there even a hold parameter on the MIDI tracks 9-16? Can't find it.

Hey man, I was looking for a way to contact you directly but i guess here is the closest i can. first off great quality videos man, great job killing it! I have a technical question about the digitakt, if you hook its midi out into its in and start mapping midi CC values per step or i guess parameter locks on the midi channel controlling the corresponding sample track, which would also have parameter locks, which parameter lock would have higher authority? I have this idea in my mind about a digitakt hack but i dont actually own one, i'd love to know the results of that test... if you wanna maybe talk more about my hack idea just let me know.
@RickyTinez6 жыл бұрын
funny you should ask, i tried this out one day but not to see which P-locks had priority. I couldn't get something to work correctly but i believe i've seen it done before! I'll have to try again.
