I got a few different reactions to each of those parts. - Pomni’s nightmare scene got me genuinely scared. - Gummigoo’s existential crisis and depression made me sympathetic. Almost got me emotional. - Gummigoo’s so-called “death” got me shocked, even though I knew that was gonna happen. Caine won’t allow NPCs. - Lastly, Kaufmo’s funeral actually made me cry because of the music, and the circus members mourning the loss, it made me feel bad. Especially Gangle, her drawing is what made me cry harder.

Not nearly enough people talk about the conversation between Pomni and Gumigoo. It was so sweet and beautiful, and I think it's a real revelation and character moment for Pomni and finding out whi she really is. Despite all her existential angst and misery, Pomni is actually a sweet, caring and wholesome person deep down, who doesn't want to invalidate other people's existence or make others feel the same existential dread that she does. Which made it all the more devastating when Gumigoo was erased almost out of nowhere. I felt so sorry for her. But then the funeral scene came along and reaffirmed Pomni's outlook on life and how they're all in this together. This episode made me realise that it's actually kind of a more colourful, toned down version of Rick and Morty, as they both feature adventures across different worlds and have themes of existentialism and nihilism with a main character struggling with their place in the world. But whilst Rick doesn't care much about how his actions and philosophy affects and hurts other people, Pomni actually cares a lot and doesn't want to hurt people. People should a lot more than Pomni than Rick. Pomni is wholesome. 🥰
