I wish I had of done exactly what your doing with the past. I've lost alot over the years and preserving them is an excellent way to hand down the history of your family. Well done exo. Jennifer I think your more gorgeous now than back in the day. That's not to say you weren't scorching hot,I think the flames got hotter as time went by. I completeted converting my VHS tapes over 10 years ago, used a dvd recorder with a vhs slot. Ran the vhs tape to the dvd hard drive. I could then edit the dvd file and optimize it and then burn dvd's. Your method appears not to allow any editing and the older the vhs taste the worst the quality of the tape. Its good you are doing it, if you had waited another 10 years the vhs tapes may have been complete garbage.

I used to transfer tons of tapes of all kinds to high quality DVDs. Memory cards can go bad! Whatever you do be sure and properly clean your video and camcorder heads! Make sure the heads are good and dry before running any tapes.
