How does the tactile or interactive part work? What device is used for that?
@thecitizenchan5 ай бұрын
Probably a camera watching the movement of the hands from above or behind.

No, it's a magnetic sausage counting relativistic myons being emitted by accelerated hand particles coming out of a sneeze....

They faked it, he's re-performing prerendered interactions. I've been doing this sort of interactive installations for nearly 20 years and there's some telltale signs. There's no real reason why you couldn't do it for real though, although it would be much more cost effective now than it was in 2011, especially at that scale.

I've seen this kind of thing many times, but it only just hit me that the interactive part is actually faked. Even their website gives it away: "Inspired by the possibility of intuitive interaction" and "Büro Achter April created the visual idea and carried out the entire production, through motion design and live action film work." It’s still a nice concept, but the title feels a bit misleading. I’ve tried working on exhibitions with interactive sensors myself, and it’s way harder than it looks-especially when you’re trying to hide the sensors. For this piece, you'd need a complex system to distinguish a hand from the background, track its position on a 2D plane, and handle the real-time interaction. Using something like a Kinect wouldn’t even work here; it would interfere with the interaction and likely introduce bugs.

It's called Projection mapping, the wall has a sensor /or camera tracking that sends that to the PC and the Pc transfer data to the projector for what to display in Real time

Probably this is a concept, not a real installation. There are noticeable shadows from ambient light on white areas and no shadows from projectors. This is not projection nor LED screen (especially LED screen from 2011). Another question - what is the logic of interactive application? It looks like prerecorded movie with clear white walls + CGI.
