Organizing a digital library is similar to organize a physical library. You need to arranged media and information resources according to broader to specific subjects. You can also consider any classification scheme in order to organize resources. Format of resources doesn't consider either pdf, epub, jpg, mp3, mp4 or any. Always consider subjects and metadata. Metadata beautify your library contents. Sir How can we differentiate between digital library and institutional repository? Or both terms means the same

An institutional repository is a digital archive of an institution, particularly a research institution. If for instance your university would collect, preserve, and disseminate the digital collection such as research articles, books, theses, etc. of their researchers, students, faculty and staff members, that would be an institutional repository where as if your university would collect, preserve and disseminate digital publications of any publisher or author that would be a digital library. Collection method could be any either digitization or acquiring licenses or both in both cases and same for the software such as open source or subscribed.
