I'm an illustrator and designer. I don't think monthly fees for software is a sustainable model. That said, I REALLY wish Procreate allowed me to create scalable vector art. That's is a huge time saver when creating assets.

Love the app but still making it a subscription is a mistake for iPad users. Adobe is really hungry for their money. Too bad because this app was a great experience. I'll go back to procreate!

I've tried to research what features I'll be missing if I continue to use it for free after 6 months but I haven't found anything, which is quite frustrating to be honest. There is no info on Adobe's website that actually sheds light on the differences between the premium and limited free version. I wish they were more transparent with this.

you're wildly incorrect. it's free to use w/o some of the brushes and no storage space. if you subscribe to CC photoshop, for $10/mo, you get all the fresco brushes plus a bunch of storage space. this is an app aimed at professionals who bill $100/hour.

Marc Cardwell procreate and art studio pro is used by many pro artists too. And one time payment with everything unlocked... has more feature, and constantly gets more feature. For instant procreate 5 will have better animation tool, better brush engine, etc.. for what it is..it is not worth the price. When they bring in the full fledged photoshop they being teasing than there maybe that would be worth...arguably. But for now Fresco is a rip off...unless u already have an adobe subscription going on for your windows or mac softwares than its a nice for the go tool add on.

Not a single stroke or opacity adjustment or layer or watercolor blob you painted could not have been done with the fantastic Procreate app and iPencil on an iPad Pro for years now. It’s not like the exact same capabilities weren’t available before - without Adobe’s disgusting rent-an-app scheme. Fresco is competent, but I’ll never sign up for their monthly pay scam.

Live brushes are really great but demanding 10 dollars each month to use it, which in my opinion is the ONLY advantage over procreate while all other areas are simply inferior or equal, is totally mad. This type of greediness and insulation from the habits and realities of your target audience is very off putting for a company culturally. It is either being completely out of touch or just insiduously greedy. I purchased creative cloud and switched to clip studio and procreate after only two months because you'd need a professional's workflow to ever justify the cost. Who at Adobe actually believes that fresco is, every year, 12 times the value of procreate? xD
