First visit to Towers that I remember was about 2004 or around then. I remember toyland tours, the spider web ice skating show, the dung heap, old mcdonalds farm, the black hole, the chocolate volcano events, ATTV show and of course the original corkscrew! god i feel old now 😂

I have been Alton Towers pretty much every year since I was young so very nostalgic for me I remember the Flume, Twirling Toadstool, Wobble World, Ice Age 4D Cinema and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Seeing Ripsaw and Nemesis Sub Terra. And I actually did play on Space Adventures at one point.

I’ve only been to Alton Towers recently, but my parents have fond memories of going decades ago and riding on a log flume and a black hole indoor ride that sadly no longer exist. I was able to spot the separated piece of coast track at the entrance, but I had no idea just how much had been taken down. It’s things like this that make you wish you could time travel, to save old rides from going.

Dude ripsaw was great! Still sour they got rid of it tbh… Submission was fun, but yeahhh it could be a little painful. The harness would come down and you’d be like ahhh it’s okay?? Then the hydraulics kicked in and it would go even tighter ! Every time you’d hear this “ahhhhhgh” from everyone 👀😂😂

I'm 38, first went to AT around 1995/1996. aged... no idea, 11 or 12 or something. I have very fond memories of it, and it actually feeling magical, especially walking around kantanya canyon with the Indiana style music (their OG theme, not the plinky plonky one they use now) I got to ride Blackhole (jet star 2 in a tent) the only regrets were not riding Thunderlooper and Energizer (as they where there when I was there!, Think I would have been high enough to ride too) I also remember the swan boats! although even back then I thought they looked a bit boring lol but yeah, devastated when they took away Blackhole (stupid decision AT!!! tut tut) I also lucky enough to remember riding Ripsaw a few years later. end of the day, it's such a shame they took away so many rides without telling you why they did it. ohwell, I guess the plus is they make room for new rides! As for Nemmy! still my number1 coaster in the UK! I need to go again! not been to alton towers since.... well, since Wickerman was in the plans!
