After living in Mexico under coco palms, I have found the fastest and best growing a coco is plant the nut when it has about a 2 inch growth without roots. If you plant a bigger one it takes 2 months to start growing.

I have two stories of space, and will probably require a heating pad and a humidifier. What is "Dimet"? I see the phrase "we use sand and dimet." Is that the manure? Or something else to stop ants? Thank you. - D.

He actually says that they add sand to keep out "white ants", which means termites, which I assume would eat the rotting coconut husk underground because termites eat wood. You won't have those indoors in England. A mature coconut palm with a full-grown crown can really only be accommodated inside the largest greenhouses. Growing one in a pot will keep it small due to the roots being confined, but eventually you would end up needing a very large container like a half-barrel.

Thanks for giving information on how to plant a Tiptur Coconut tree including its pit size etc etc. In August 2021 I planted two Tiptur Coconut tree in my site using Compost fertiliser and ready made cow dung,but did not add sand. However, every week twice provided sufficient water.But now its branches are drying. Can you suggest any solution for this problem ? Thanks.

PAMPA BOSE yes bro if it is residential area and tree is very near to their house means u have to cut it because of its roots can grow upto 4-5 meters underneath the ground and can damage the building structure and if base is weak then you can imagine the rest of course you can move the tree without harming it.
