I think you're using the USCI version of SPI. Some MSP430's (like MSP430g2452) only have USI module, not USCI, and setup is quite different. I'm still futzing with getting mine going. But excellent description of what you were doing. Thanks

At 6:44 I think there is an error in the table. P1.2 is SIMO and P1.3 is SOMI.
