1995 I played bass in a band called Disinhumed. Very close. Kinda. Not really, but almost the same. Interchangeable really. Once you were buried, then you weren’t buried, at first you were entombed, then the reverse action of that, and then way back in the day you could be inhumed, and then there was a methodology to make you not inhumed. I just want to live in a tomb. My other band was called Sepulchre, but some Portuguese talkin Mexicans had one really close. The same kinda. But not exactly. But they meant the exact same thing. Then we had A Carcass Entombed Six Feet Under Skeletal Remains, and the print company told us to shorten it because the ink was expensive. Then we really got serious, got our collective heads together and decided on a new and original band name: Detomasso! Get it?! It’s a car that’s badass and kind of American but kind of Italian and it’s fucking badass, just like our band, but none of us are Italian and none of us can afford a car like that. So Detomasso Pantera it is! What?! Wait, what ?! Who said what? Wait, okay how about Porsche? Okay fuck it, I’ve got it. Beige Zombie! Done. Print it. Nobody can touch that one. Whaaaaaaat?
