This was very helpful for me, even in 2022. I bought my GNX 4 about 3 or 4 years ago at a pawn shop. I played with it a bit, but I couldn't figure out how to have the metronome come on automatically when I recorded and when I turned the drums on manually it would record the drums on the same track with what I was recording, that was very annoying so I put it away. I decided to try it again the other day and found this tutorial, which explained both of my issues. I'm looking forward to trying to record with it again now.

I’ve had a GNX4 since 2006; it’s indispensable! And believe it or not, I also have the RP1. Which I continue to use today; especially because of the 11-parameter Reverb!

The Digitech GNX 4 is by far the best "ALL IN ONE " Guitar workstation! ever produced!!! No one has come close since this release...Issues with this board,, it crashed out 6 years later (purchased in 2005) with no tech fix (which is sad). So much promise with this pedal board...Digitech killed it!!! I would pay $1,000 for the "GNX 5" if they would have made it!!!! They did it right!!!

Mike you have no idea how helpful this tutorial has been! I have a GNX4 which I haven't been able to use to its full potential given the lack of tutorials and resources online about it (or maybe I was looking in the wrong places). This is so awesome. Thank you so much!!!

Videos and guides like yours are great! I gave up searching for new information on the GNX4 about 2 years ago so I'm pleasantly surprised to find your videos and also discover that there's also now a FB page for it. Thanks for posting and as many videos you make about it I will watch keenly 😊

Had one back in 2007...the amp models, particularly the high gain ones sounded like shit..cold, sterile, and digital..the clean tones and some of the effects sounded decent. The 8 track recorder was absolutely ground breaking to me at the time. Access to decent recording software wasn't really a thing back then, so this all in one piece of gear allowed me to record and out out my own music. I absolutely adored it. Actually thinking of buying one purely for the nostalgia.

I've had a gnx4 since 05, use it all the time. I would be happy if they just remade the exact same thing. I'm still trying to figure this one out but small internal issues have made it harder to use and unreliable.
@AdaptivePhenix6 жыл бұрын
@@danrunnheim3870 Hi Dan. Yeah, many of us have experienced internal issues which turn out to be minor. Most of the time it is related to the ribbon cable connectors or the on-board switches. I have purchased every single processor on the planet trying to find something that sounds better than my GNX4- so far all have been returned and I have 3 ‘spare’ GNX4s now. It has an ‘analog’ quality that’s absent in every modern processor- especially at high gain- notes in chords stay separated. I don’t know what Digitech figured out 15 years ago that other manufacturers cannot with all the new technology available.
