I never see anyone use the Hip-Hop setting and actually try making a rap song with the Digitech Trio Plus, so I did it. When I first bought this pedal, I couldn't find many examples of what it sounds like using genres other than "dad rock" so hopefully this helps someone else.
I took the words from a previously recorded song I wrote "Grandma is a Gangsta" and put them with this new beat that I made after teaching the trio plus some root notes to go off of. I made the bassline using single notes to teach the pedal since there isn't much rhythm guitar that is played throughout whole rap songs. The Trio + put in the drums based on the timing of the loop, but I also told it to pull the slower of the two auto calculated tempos, and I looped a simple chord shape played above the 12th Fret to get that 90s rap music guitar pluck sort of vibe. After it was all made, I used the volume knobs and drum intensity button to pull things in and out and change up parts. Then, like always, I was having fun and explored a quick guitar solo but almost wished I had the sine wave synth sound setup or even a few strings. I might explore more and add a Boss SY-1 before the guitar signal to fill up the sounds to make another rap song demo with this band in a box creator pedal.
