Oh I’m wondering if we cut out piece of the artwork after copying the original picture, will that be a bit easier to remove the background as the software will select the fewer white color BG? I may have to try…

I do this same thing in Krita. It is very time consuming and made my arm sore. Retracing everything is double the work.

Yeah, it can be time-consuming... but the better you digitize your assets, the more you'll be able to use them in future visual projects. I've never used Krita but will have a look at it.
