Janey, you might want to put small sealed blocks under the feet to keep water runoff from other plants from "wicking" up table feet. Would also raise it up a bit for working comfort since you're a tall gal ❤

Janey, would you ever consider a sheet of plexiglass over the top of the table to protect its finish? It definitely would be more carefree for you as coasters, seeping water & splashes wouldn’t be a concern. Lovely start to this project❤

I love your greenhouse Janey. I am so happy for you. You did such a wonderful job on your floor too. What a great idea using small pebbles! The floor looks like it is tiled until you get up close. It is practical and beautiful. The gravel colour matches the table - perfect! You really are achieving a lot Janey, considering that you have an injured foot and you have come up against a few 'hidden' problems, such as concrete in the ground. Nevermind; you got your lovely roses in the ground and they look gorgeous, as do your pots.

Love the table! Everything gives off a slightly French vibe! Love it!!! Now, Monty is really a great little assistant...he's growing.....! Coleonema "Sunset Gold" is one of my go-to shrubs when I design gardens...the chartreuse color just pops and plays well with others! Those bunnies ade adorable--lops?? I'd be kissing and cuddling them all the time!

Your table you put in your greenhouse is just like my dining table. Mine is in perfect condition because it has not been used much. Purchased new in 1976 so this may help you in determining the age of yours Nice find

In your spare time, 😂! Trim branches early in the morning, choosing healthy ones with vibrant leaves. Remove leaves from the bottom part that will be submerged in water. Place them in a mixture of water and a floral preservative for a few days. After they’ve hydrated, air dry the branches by hanging them upside down in a warm, dry place out of direct sunlight. Optionally, you can use a glycerin solution to preserve flexibility and color by soaking the branches in a mixture of one part glycerin to two parts water until they absorb the solution. Once dried, arrange in vases without water, and they should last for a long time.

Scoring such wonderful, inexpensive things on FB Marketplace is SO fun! I've done the same recently. The table looks great. The 'rope' detailing around the edge of the table is known as "Barley Twist", a common furniture embellishment. Have fun decorating the greenhouse.

Hi Janey, I love your table. On a budget I found a lovely big table and chairs that were separate but looked like they matched. It's perfect for having our family meals around. Your table will be amazing for dressing up or down. I do also think you'll need some slate or something under the feet. To keep off the gravel. I'd be putting the roses a little closer to the greenhouse, anyway, so that's a win! I'd guess that concrete was to hold in a paver path or patio, but good call from your dad to check before breaking it. If I'm right, you might find another "curb" on the other side of an old path, with baserock in between. Milo and Isaac can figure that out for you. And I'd definitely close the greenhouse doors before putting pots next to it. You'll want to protect the doors from hitting the pots and find a way to prop them open in the summer.

Beautiful table and what a bargain! If you use the terra-cotta pots, Make sure you use the saucers that are sealed or seal them yourself because the water will seep through on your table. I’m in love with your greenhouse!! ❤

Hi Janey, When cutting woody stems for floral design take off all foliage that will be under water and use a hammer to soften the ends of your cuttings so that they will continue to take in water. Lay your stems on their sides on a hard surface and give them a wack or two! Hopefully they will last in your containers longer. A old crock would look pretty cool if you had one and would tie into the color of your stones. 😉

I love the table! The olive branch centerpiece looks so elegant! You might consider sealing the tabletop with some polyurethane or a product called Gator Hide by Dixie Belle, just to give the top a little more durability. Just a thought.
