On this metal detecting video we go metal detecting at an old high school. We had planned on checking out several other promising locations but this first spot was so good we didn't leave it. Great hunt guys. Congrats to Gary on the Walker. You guys have the humidity which I hate. Here in SoCal we have the dry heat, but heat no matter what it is stinks. We are in our late 60's and 70's so don't really hunt in the summer. November to June is our season. Anyway keep up the great videos.

Awesome day brothers if I may suggest some large straw hats to keep the sun off a bit! You can take them off when showing the finds. I ran charter boats for years Doc told me to get one or he would start cutting parts off LOL. It makes big difference. God bless thanks for taking us along.

Gatorade is good for when you're out for an hour or maybe two mowing the yard or playing a football game. If you're going all day it isn't so good because it's too much sugar and not enough electrolytes. A re-hydration drink such as Pedialite is a LOT better and it tastes good.

Been a s. for 2-3 yrs! 496th thumbs up! What's your best day ever silver/gold? Mine was 4 hrs silver $1, 26 other silver coins2 silver religous pendants and a 3.24g gold cross...necklace criss I think, still carry it!

Man I wish I could hunt some old places like that. Just got a Vanquish 340 open box deal. I`m on disability in a very rural area and can`t drive due to my medications so owning a car would be pointless. I`m hoping I can talk someone into taking me detecting. I have a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 and Tracker 4 loaners that are very easy for beginners to use successfully. But most people give up after 10 minutes. I took a friend with me once and even though we had found over 20 dollars in just quarters at a carnival area and even a silver he was bored and ready to leave. Theres a large area around the lot I`m moving to in a couple of weeks including woods, creek, and old gardens so at least I can hunt for awhile.

Got a question for dig beepers. Is it getting harder to find silver? It's so hard to find silver from roll hunts.

Yes , it is. Back in the 1970's half of the coins we found were silver and 30 in a day was quite common. But back then half your pocket change was silver , when we had a silver quarter that were rejected from a vending machine we traded a buddy for a clad one . Most of the silver has been pulled from circulation except for war nickels. Most public places have been detected before so silver is harder to find. There is still silver there , just not as much of it. Around christmas time you can usually find a silver every now and then in change or rolls , but you will probably do better at coinstar rejects than coin rolls anymore. That's my thoughts .
