Thanks for this! But who nibbles a potato chip and then puts it back in the bag? 😂

Biting a chip and putting it back is worse than double dipping.

That's not bronze fennel. That's a cross of bronze fennel and the wild fennel that grows as a weed in the USA. I know because I grow both; real bronze fennel is fully dark purple, so purple that it looks almost brown. The plant you're growing is what I call verigated fennel. If you want I'll mail you seeds or plants of the real thing.

I have a plant I bought labeled bronze fennel that looks just like his. I'd love to have seeds from your real bronze fennel. I love this plant. I'll pay for shipping. Thanks

@@FishPam I'd love to, I'm sending seeds for some Purple mustard greens out too right now. Bronze fennel was grown in ancient Egypt and has remained Bronze since then. I have grown it next to green fennel for 20 years and every so often I get one of these mixed plants. I consider them to be a unique rarity, like a variegated philodendron or something, and I was actually surprised people were selling seeds for this cross. My bronze ones are truly dark purple, never get a green leaf, and taste more like licorice. My 2 year old daughter likes to forage in my yard and eat them as a snack. I often question what people are selling when they sell seeds. I'm not sure if you have watched my videos but I made one where I planted Komatsuna and Yomogi. The seed packages were labeled "Japanese Spinach Mustard" and "Japanese Yomogi Mugwort." This would be like calling a Tomato an "American Red Tomato Vegetable" in another language. I've recently found seeds for weeds that are invasive in my yard for sale for top dollar on herbal medicine sites or flower fancier sites. I do not think many people know what they're buying or selling. Comment on my channel and I'll send you a list of the seeds I currently have and am getting ready to send out, including vegetables and rare edible or medicinal plants.

Literally still have no idea

+Bean Dill is naturally taller, while fennel is more bushy. Fennel also makes a bulb which usually protrudes somewhat from the ground, while dill just has a straight stalk

Endedup digging it up after it died and it was dill. The bulb was key.

Sorry, but dill and fennel tastes nothing alike. It would also have been helpful to have seen a dill plant that had been growing for some time. Otherwise, great video. Thanks.
