Why can't Usyk move up? I know it's not just about size, skill comes into it too & Nikolai Valuev wasn't anywhere near to being classed as a skilled boxer, but he had a size advantage of 9 inches in height and 99lbs in weight when he lost to Haye. Usyk fighting Joshua, for instance is similar stat wise to Joshua fighting Fury or Fury fighting Valuev (3 inches height difference). The average height for a heavyweight (unlimited weight) is 6'4 1/2 (194,3 cm) Cruiserweight (up to 200 pounds): 6'1 2/5 (186,4 cm). I'm sure he has the power to knock anyone out.

Andre Ward called this when the fight was announced. He said Tony's stamina was gonna be the big issue after coming down two stone back down to cruiser. And the man looked very sluggish from around round 6 onwards and that was the main issue that got him hurt.

Dont see Uysk skill being enough to make up for the huge size difference he's gonna face at heavyweight. He looks great against other cruisers but dont see him being as effective against the big heavies. Plus he doesnt have that explosive power of someone like David Haye who carried his power up to heavyweight.

problem for the heavies is can you see any one of the current crop being able to cut the ring off to land shots on Usyk? Can you see any of them being able to get out of round 6 with any sort of gas left in the tank after Usyk has been landing shots for 18 minutes whilst they have been missing for that 18 minutes? If you look at the lower weights fighters go up and beat far bigger men all the time through sheer skill so why can the same not be said for Usyk going from CW to HW?

Watching the Usyk Bellew fight in a bar, I thought the fight was really close. But after rewatching the fight at home, it looked like Usyk was taking it easy on Bellew until 8th round. Usyk makes it look easy, reminded me of Mayweather v Mcgregor a bit. Counting Usyk out of the heavyweight equation is daft. They should all be very worried about this guy, cause when he steps up a gear, he's going to unleash hell lol.

Notice how temporality isn't mentioned at all. When asked about Ortiz, he says that he sent him contracts. He doesn't say that he did that years ago. When he had his chance to fight Ortiz, which has been in the last 3-6 months and Ortiz reached out he neglects to mention it. I am not accusing anyone of ducking anyone, just showing you that this is all just promotion. They say whatever they can to make themselves seem like they are the best in the division. usyk gave wladimir problems in sparring, as banged out a few heavyweights in his time. People have to remember Usyk is a technician and doesn't allow the knockout to be forced. Whyte is what an inch taller....whyte does have alot of muscle mass under his chub...if he had a similar fat percentage to usyk and usyk added a bit of muscle mass on, it wouldn't be overly different. ..not enough to matter. Whyte says he would rough usyk up as he thinks usyk doesn't like that - no Dillain. Also if he faces you, he would have a game plan specifically for you....dont get me started on your defense. I like whyte and hope he gets a crack AJ again and win...but Usyk shouldn't be taken lightly Dillian mate. Half the reason AJ is on top making the money is because he assesses the fighters to depths Dillian doesn't....

If Whyte thinks he could just press forward and rough up a 230lb Usyk at HW then he shows his limitations. If Usyk fought Whyte he'd beat him on footwork and speed alone. Whyte would just plod forward trying to rough up Usyk and quickly find that Usyk is not there to be grabbed or to fight inside or mid-range (where Whyte wants him) Usyk would dismantle Whyte over 12 rounds and make him miss badly.......
