This was a good gangsta flick I love the violence portrayed in this version of the story of Dillinger. John Milius is a good director I mean he directed the Dirty Harry and the first Conan the barbarian movie. But Warren Oates was so godam gangsta in this film.

Did they ad that scene or her getting ran over by the car added because even In fiction some things are made up

The constant ADR ("Come on, Eddie!") and Dillinger's sped-up car at the end kind of detracted from the scene. Just out of curiosity, is it clear in the movie that East Chicago is in Indiana as opposed to Illinois?

1933? This is approximately the same time that A Number One (Lee Marvin) was trying to ride the Shack's train, Number 19 to Portland, Oregon. Shack being played by Ernest Borgnine, of course.
