@@DillonCarmichael Hey there, Dillon ... I will be following you, because I might have a song for you.. I KNOW you hear that a hundred times a day .... but, just keep the faith. I will be in contact ... You were highly recommended by someone your mother knows ... he recommended several singers, including John Michael Montgomery ... .but, I chose YOU !!!!! And, I had never heard your music before... VERY taken with your voice and your style. ... When I have something to tell you for sure, with a NASHVILLE demo, I will be in contact ... close contact ... closer than you realize... just KEEP SINGING the OLD COUNTRY SOUND !!! Love your voice. I know that songs are supposed to go through your publisher, etc. etc. etc. MAYbe YOU will be the one to show it to them ... let me tell you something about me ... I am 77, a great grandmother, and I have FAITH in this song ..... I sang it for a lady downtown in a jewelry store and, in the middle of it, she turned to a co-worker and rubbed her arm and said, " I have goosebumps ! " ... I said, " I' ll take goosebumps anytime.. " ...... won MONEY six weeks in a row singing it at karaoke with a local, small studio sound track .... ONE night, a little black youngster about 5 years old, looked at me and asked, "Are you gonna sing THAT song ? " ... I said, " Yes, darlin', I'm gonna sing THAT song" ..... Smiles.... I have history singing on TV, the radio, and in a traveling band, starting when I was a senior in high school, so ... I get it ..... Let's just get that demo finished and I WILL be in touch .... Bank it !!! BEFORE ... YOU ... ever get to hear it, everyone in Lake City, Florida will know the words ... I sing it in drive thru's, restaurants to waitresses, victims in line behind me and in front of me ( LOL ) .... and, they stop and LISTEN .... Do NOT think me crazy .... Think me SMART !!!! MY song is very much related to THIS one, of yours ... And, to Alan Jackson's called "Where Have You Gone" .... I hate that the country OLD sound has been mutilated AND mutated ..... we have to bring it back, dear heart.. We just have to... Just think ... Carrie Underwood's first hit was " Jesus, Take The Wheel" and, now, when you see Carrie, her dress is cut up to where you can almost see her underwear from the front row, and her voice is not about Jesus taking the wheel ... CARRIE has taken the wheel or whoever her manager is ..... BUT .... she really IS able to cross over .... I don't want that in MY song.. It stays in the Country lane and wins a GRAMMY . ..... It really does. TRUST ME !!! I WILL BE IN TOUCH !!!!!

I tried to get my Country Radio Station to play this song, or should I say to put it on their playlist. Here is what I was told, they have three sources they get songs or artist from that are on the national charts, and Dillon Carmicheal is not on any of them. So my opinion is since artist no longer goes on the road knocking the door down to get the station to put their song on the radio, it is probably hard for anyone to get recognition unless they know someone in the music business.

gary everly Goes to show that these people are narrow minded simpletons with not a lick of taste. It’s flipping ridiculous and annoying with that gets played on the radio. And I call B.S. because Cody Jinks ranks and they don’t play him either lieing S.O.B’s.

All it took was one listen to this song to earn a pre-order for the whole album. This tune reminds me of riding around with my Dad, with country music on the AM radio and a breeze from the "4-55" (four windows, 55 MPH) air conditioner cooling us down. Those were good times, and hearing "Old Songs Like That" makes me realize it all the more.
