So many churches struggle to grasp this. The focus of worship should be on God, not the worship leader. Thank you Dillon!!

Brother... thank you. Thank you for letting God use you... for being who He made you to be. I am a worship leader. Long story short: I'd gotten to a place where I felt stale. I have very recently found that I'd gotten to a place where the music that I love (and that God has used to draw me close to Himself and teach me the intimacy He wants with each of us) has become an obstacle of my true worship. As I dealt with this revelation, I was trying to prepare myself to lead worship on Sunday... and God led me to your video. I found truth and peace and freedom in it. This is an ongoing work that He continues in me... so this storm is not yet over - but I wanted you to know that He has used you to help me. I pray that I might learn to continue to draw close to Him in true worship without the crutch of music... despite any (or lack there of) 'feeling' or emotion... in truth and in Spirit. God bless you, bro!

This is amazing! Defiantly makes me refocus on what worship truly is. It's crazy to think that in other places they don't get the chance to worship. I have always viewed worship as just something we always do at church, not a privilege given to us. Thank you for the great video!

Thank you bro. Dillon Chase, that was very inspiring! bro. Larry Locker; Christian Artists International, Inc.; real worship is not always easy to find, so many distractions, the devil always trying to take the brothers out into somewhere else outside the Holy of Holies. He knows the true worshipers are powerful and God destroys yokes and lifts burdens when worship is real. Not something the devil wants to see but we are those that must be that form of true worship and not just talk about it. Good job, true worship, keeping us all in check, thanks again brother!

+Dillon Chase Heck yeah! Sat in my dorm room right now, it's 03:38am and I've been battling with my identity. I'm an outcast here at university because I don't join in in the ways of the world. 'Sometimes worship is a war, to fight what comes between us'... man, no truer words were spoken. And I've been wrestling with myself because of how lonely it is. This poem brought me back to my true love, the only place that makes sense for me... at the feet of jesus. I realised I'd rather be an outcast now, than get cast out later. Thank you for sharing your gift and allowing God to use you, love and prayers from England! :D

Worship With what's beneath the surface, do you love to worship. Is he worth it? Or do you love the cord progressions and are you thrilled that the worship leader sings so impressive. Do you love the build, the rhythm, but is Jesus lost in the feeling? Is your praise personal or conditional, and do you understand that worship is His gift to you! It isn't how you worship but when you worship, Because when you love to worship you may go to work but come to worship. You feel the warmth of the son in worship like thank you God for your blessings. don't be numb to worship. This is not a genre but a gene. A gene that is present in the DNA of all who are redeemed, we don't worship to be clean we worship because He cleaned us. And sometimes worship is a war, to fight what try's to come between us. The spirit intercedes, then His worship becomes real, as if we are at His throne pouring perfume on His feet, consumed with a peace that won't be moved, it completes us. And yes we are giving to God, but not out giving what we are getting from God, isn't this odd? You see God is pouring the fuel of faith in our heart, the fire overwhelms and sets passion ablaze in our heart. And as we gaze at the cross with eyes of faith we still find ourselves surprised by His grace. This compels us to worship with our beings, our life, our breathing, our passions, our seeing, keep believing, never ceasing this offering of joy for proclamations, to let the world know about the God who saved us. When is the last time you picked up His word, and said God I'm reading to worship, not just to know how to worship, or become inspired to worship but believing your word is true, is a form of worship to you. Sometimes being still is worship, something's shouting loud or bowing down, or looking up to the hills is worship. Sometimes you may raise your hands, other times you be undone. you may laugh you may cry so hard no words escape your lungs. You may be surrounded by the body of Christ or alone in your room seeking the father of lights. I'm not against a full band, bass, guitars, keys, drums, leads, lows, as long as every pluck, every stroke, every hitting of the keys, every pounding of the drum is done for the honour and glory of the Son. People, Gods people we should love to worship, because He loved us first when we didn't deserve it.!
