Unity3d with AR Foundation - How To Detect Which Object Is Been Tracked With Image Tracking?

In this video about Image Tracking With Unity3d and AR Foundation I show you how to use the reference image name to detect which object is been tracked. This video also shows you how to add multiple images which I took with my iPhone device and added them to the AR Image Tracking Reference Library in Unity3d.

hello, thank you for this tutorial, can i just ask if it is possible to make the prefab stays even if image is not detected. For example, once the image is detected and the video plays, the video/prefab will continue playing at that spot even when your camera is not pointing at it.

Hi Dilmer, i have an issue (im using androdi) if i put play on awake, the video will start playing and sound even before i use the tracked image, but if i uncheck that, nothing appears in the screen, just the empty PlacedTV.

Hey Dilmer. Will the same code work for the Android platform? I guess it should however when I convert the platform to Android and make appropriate changes to the player setting I am facing this error: "Failed to generated ARCore reference image library 'ReferenceImageLibrary'". Any idea what could be done to resolve this? I an trying to build the "ImageTrackingExtendedMultiple" scene.

Hi Dilmer! Nice video. I'm also experimenting with image tracking. I'm using a 3D object prefab but when is placed on the tracked image it gets very jittery and unstable when I move the image around. Could it be related to how powerful my phones are? I'm using an iPhone 6s and a Samsung Galaxy S8. Which phone are you using? Your prefabs look nice and stable when placed on the image. Thanks!

It is possible, I would say save the last position when the image was first tracked and use that position to place your video, then don't update the new position upon detection of the image.

@@mikacammann3332 i was able to make it with firebase yes , you download the files and save them inside “resources ” folder but i faced an issue with iOS its worked on Android , i don’t have much time to work on it so i deleted the project 🤣
