I am being prescribed this drug for my problem of " Sans fulna on mild exerion & Even on rest" I am 62 yrs 90 kg wt. Normotensive , No lung problem but not comfortable with medicine !

Really enjoyed your clip. I have several adverse side effects which is frustrating because the cardiologist never discussed why he prescribed this medication. Before he changed to diltiazem, he prescribed olmsartan. I have since change HMO and will see my new cardiologist in a month I am not aware of why he prescribed. I am beginning to distrust doctors. My records don't indicate any abnormalities warranting this medication. Prior to my report of adverse side effects, my BP kept rising when in presence of my doctor's. The resent push for changing my meds and it's side effects is very disheartening. Any adviced. I had a nonstemi m.i. 2016 and have had no problems with my exercise regimen. Please advise.

I took 120mg of Diltiazem. First week, all I got was weird arrhythmias. It was uncomfortable. It was a choice i made due to my pvcs and cardiologist gave me the option to live with it or take Diltiazem to lessen the feeling of the pvcs. No meds will make them go away. sadly, people are just born with the condition but you can be elected for ablation as there needs to be a medically necessary reason that the ablation will cure it but it's not always 100% because ablations carry a risk of health vs pharmaceutical therapy. I switched over to metropolol but it's not a calcium channel blocker but it did lessen the "thud" I feel when a pvc occurs. The Diltiazem made it worse.

I would recommend looking online for a list, and checking if Diltiazem interacts with any of the medications you are taking, because there are too many for me to list here.

Yes. I take the extended release 180mg version. Resting heart rate is now between 60 and 80. My heart doesn't race anymore.
