I'm Hispanic living in the US and don't speak Samoan but this music always gets me going. Have it in my music library, even sign along not knowing what I'm saying. ❤❤

Love it my brother! This chant tells the origins of our Polynesian Tatau. Oceanic storytelling through oral traditions is how we have preserved our cultures traditions. Malo lava Dilworth for the beautiful singing, the ancestors are smiling

It is the song which tells the stories of the traditional tattoo (tatau) for both men and women, from the beginning of the process to the time when the tattooed person shows pride once it is completed. It tells the stories of the designs/patterns that we wear when we are tattooed :)
