Thanks for the shoutout. I felt really good about my performance in the live stream, but of course disappointed to not make it further. Was a fun battle with Sergio, loved his conversation afterwards finding out that I just beat him out on the first 2 bonuses.

It's a tough one... in some ways it's good to know you gave it a good shot, but in some ways it's easier to accept going out if you know you blew it. (And for the record, I've gone out both ways! 😂)

Thanks for your kind words Dim. Pretty proud of being the little fish in this pool full of sharks 😂 You know, i learned almost every trick from your videos, and there is a lot of my friends that does the same thing, so thank you for your contribution to this community :-)

27:49 Hey thanks! I've always been amazed at you being able to analyze a case from the preview and being able to write potentially useful LAMBDAs before jumping in. I was finally brave enough to use try and use those 15 minutes to my advantage in the same way and created a valid word check LAMBDA that greatly helped in level 7 of the WABBLE case.

Nice! Once you start, there’s no going back : ) Good luck tomorrow - and don’t underestimate Joseph!

25:55 Look mom, I'm on TV! (Will F). Sad that I didn't get through but also somewhat happy that I repeated my 2022 performance in a much more competitive field. Best of luck tomorrow, Dim!
@DimEarly3 ай бұрын
Thanks Will! And you’re right to feel good about holding your ground considering how much stronger the field has gotten - there are a lot of past competitors who didn’t make it to the bracket this year, not to mention last 64.

Nick Lowman here, thanks for the shout out! Couldn't have done it without your helpful videos and resources. Looking forward to losing tomorrow, whether in last 32 or to Ngai 😂

Or… take everything I’ve taught you and more, and go beat him! There’s blood in the water after he showed he’s only mortal in the last round 😂 Of course, you’ll have to get past Jean first, and he seems to be firing on all cylinders. Good luck!

@@DimEarly Maybe I can come back in the last chance qualifier! I just did abysmal in each round... See you in Vegas!

Sorry to hear it - but great that you’re coming anyway! Those last chance rounds are going to be brutal! 😱

That portal formula to write formula trick sounds very interesting, curious to see that solve. You're right I am a big underdog here but either way I have vastly improved from my first case in January where I scored 300 or something so pretty happy to get this far! Give me another year or so

Yeah, it’s already been an epic journey! If you can keep up the rate you’ve been learning at, you’ll be dangerous. But I still haven’t ruled out the possibility that you’re already going to be dangerous tomorrow!

Thank you for your kind words. I'm grateful for the recognition. While I wish I could have gone further in the competition, Jean performed excellently and deserved the win. Since FMWC2022, kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5enomiaodVlpZY I saw Andrew and Joseph complete 5 levels in just 11 minutes with over 1000 points, and others already working on Levels 4-5, while I was just starting to read Level 3, with 200 points. I've accepted that my pace in these competitions will be different. English being my second language does create challenges in speed-based competitions, but I find joy in contributing to the community in other ways. 😊😊

You bring joy to other through those contributions too!

Really like the format and totally agree with you in regard of the performance improve over the last years. Something that can be seen in the MECC too, with many competitors that are among the best that also compete in the MECC. Only thing I didn't like was that I saw again that I am out, "luckily" I didn't put in the last bonus question, because I thought it was too difficult, just to realise it wasn't that difficult after finishing the case, because then I would have been the competitor (first ever?) to be out with all points. However, looking forward to the finals of both MECC and MEWC!
@DimEarly3 ай бұрын
On the positive side, you’re going to be in Vegas anyway… so last-chance qualifier here you come! Although I suspect it’s going to be an intense few days between all the MEWC and MECC rounds (as well as everything else!) I’m looking forward to seeing you there!

I'm trying to look at it positively by thinking that Andrew just wanted to do me a favor by not making me look too bad.. that explains his stumble, doesnt it.. ? I mean at least I get to say i lost by a mere 20 points to the 3-time defending champ. Of course i know i missed a clear chance to have said i beat him.. an absolute reference error costing me dearly. Well, next year if there's a rematch I'll be better prepared..

I would have preferred 100 times not being mentioned and being on the other side vs Peter...anyway your kind words have a very high value for me! See you in Vegas!
