Excellent interview! For a senior like me who lived the 1958 events, the 1963 coup d'état, the 1967 war, the 1969 arrival of the armed palestinians after their ouster from Jordan, the 1973 prelude to the war, the 1975 war, the assassinations that devastated our politicians, our journalists, our officials, our activists our officers, our businessmen, the syrian invasion, the israely invasion etc.... I thank You, our young generation who, in spite of all the disasters inflicted on us, are understanding and fighting for the truth and the revival of our Lebanon!!! Thank you!

came back a few hours ago from Beirut... I believe that hope is seeing the parliament guards and the ISF started using teargas on the people in the back that were completely peaceful. My heart grew at that sight because it shows how bankrupt the ruling class is on so many levels. they are now afraid of a silent harmless crowd, not just the front lines...

I totally disagree with the premise that we, the Lebanese, are not responsible for the failures of the political system and the societal ailments we suffer from. At a minimum, if we cannot take responsibility for the system we tolerated or contributed to creating, we do not deserve any better.

Okay, some comments: - I really liked this episode, it was beyond sardé, it literally was a fesh khele2 based on facts - I used to work as a flight attendant at MEA before shattering both legs on August 4, so I met Dima 3 times on the plane. She has a horrible personality. The last one was to Nice when she was sitting next to Ragheb’s or Ramy’s wife, they both literally ordered the hostess for special requests. Yes, she is very resilient who loves her country and its people, and we need more people like her just with better personalities. - The candle that lit at the background, was it diptyque? If yes, which one? Would love to know because I absolutely adore their scented candles. Thanks again for a great episode ❤️

Why are the lebanese always so quick to blame Israel for their own incompetence and stupidity? Even with the people on this podcast, whom I consider at least rational, they are in all seriousness talking about the possibility that it was an attack by Israel on the Beirut port even though there is no objective evidence pointing to that. A plane flying in Lebanese airspace and dropping munitions isn't exactly unnoticeable.

Why do you only interview a certain caliber of people? Those that all align politically with each other, partake in extremely similar dialogue, have very very similar perspectives? Kindly answer my questions. Because what it appears to me, however apolitical I consider myself to be, is your only gravitate towards people with the exact same agendas and political goals. Lebanon is politically, religiously, and socially diverse, yet you persistently choose to paint a specific picture with the people you interview as opposed to painting a unified for diversified, REALISTIC portrayal of Lebanon. tal3a Dima sade2 tehkini 3al 3adeli 2al. kimlit.

Lebanon's diverse but its up to the producers to decide who they want to interview. They're Lebanese people like you who live through the same struggles. If you struggle apolitically, others struggle because of a lack of representation. And through this podcast theyre trying to mainstream the idea of an alternative type of politics.
@MRM_241
@MRM_241 3 жыл бұрын
It's very simple, in Lebanon right now there are two types of people. Those who are anti-corruption and anti-dirty politicians and those who are still puppets to the filthy politicians and still defend them. While the former are no doubt the future of Lebanon the latter are the ugly past that we can't wait to get rid of and forget. I salute them for only showing the Lebanon we look up too not the Lebanon we are ashamed of (the sectoral Lebanon led by corruption and lack of patriotism). As for Dima, I don't get your point for why she can't talk about justice. She has never committed a crime and she has always respected and was under the law, unlike all of our filthy leaders and their ignorant and blind followers.
@lebanon2010fl
@lebanon2010fl 3 жыл бұрын
@@MRM_241 When you ignorantly place Lebanese people within the scope of only two subgroups it proves to me that you know little to nothing about the social fabric of Lebanon. This pathetically reductive dichotomy is damaging because it assumes that you have the right to negate people based on the fact that you ( the politically superior god-sent entity) have the right to dictate the law of the land. The reality is... and whether you like you or not Lebanon is POLITICALLY DIVERSE. I REPEAT. PLUS, whether you like it or not, there is still a large population who align with political parties. You assuming that you can just eradicate them because it fulfills your vision of a better Lebanon is juvenile and unrealistic and ... not how politics works? This naive, politically illiterate narrative of bad vs good, dirty vs clean creates political polarities within an already fragmented society and history tells us it actually doesn't solve anything. As for Dima, yeah, a lot of people don't commit crimes under a specific legal framework, so what ya3ni? What kind of pathetic excuse is that?

i like her optimism when she speaks about the Lebanese and how they overcame difficult periods throughout history but i think the geopolitical realities in the middle east are different now than they were in the 19th century. i sometimes feel that there is a deliberate effort to destroy Lebanon. and as for the positive change that is happening underneath the surface in the collective consciousness, that kind of change takes generations till it creates real social change above the surface. i'm being a bit of a pessimist, i'm sorry. i'm just tired

Why is the media so anti Hezbollah, despite most Lebanese having sympathies for them? Precisely this reason. The anti Hezbollah isle has unlimited money when it comes to demonizing Hezbollah

Bless your heart Dima as well your beloved family. Medea and Mouin, we thank you both for your gifted talents and presentation throughout your shows. Keep up the good work, as we trust always. Our prayers to our patriot Lebanese countrymen and women during these challenging moments and days. There is always a way to go up from the bottom of battle against the demons and evil doers. May the Lord bless you all and keep you safe. From Lebanese Canadian citizens of Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Hello Medea and Mouin, I thank you for your reply, my family join me in praying for the wounded Lebanon asking the Lord His Almighty to Intervene throughout the challenges you, your loved ones and our loyal countrymen and women of Lebanon. Prayers are important, for no matter what faith you believe in your payers will answered. Despite of the heatwave we have in Toronto, we think of you dearly, and hoping these cowards will wake up. Through these cowards' absence minded actions; it proves that all kinds of animals are way better in their behaviors towards their species and their owners! Therefore, we should NOT Give and or Compare them with Animal Names, because we are INSULTING the animals!!! What a SHAME of these "BOZOS" Sold THEIR SOULS to the DEMONS. Yet we SHOULD NOT GIVE UP on OUR LIVES; the UNITY of the CITIZENs of LEBANON WILL BREAK ALL the OBSTACLES THEY FACE. There is a proverb in English "What Comes Around... Goes Around." Someone is watching from above! Finally, we continue our prayers for you to be well and safe. It is time for the Candle to be burned and continue with the REVOLUTION for your Rights of SURVIVING and LIVING with RESPECT. Kind Regards and Salutes to all. Looking forward for the next interview....
