Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly". This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace. The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself. The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music composition and different lyrics (Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance). But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer of this new version. She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration. This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Julie Anne San Jose, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , … They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKLShGCBhLGJlZY Her italian version is also amazing. Hey Eric ok that you are a crazy fanatic of Lara,i have nothing against she that for me is surely one of the best female singer,and i appreciate and respect Lara also because is a good friend and is one of the idols of Dimash..Lara respect,appreciate,esteem,and love Dimash,and is the same for Dimash towards Lara..And Lara calls Dimash "The cosmic boy",and complimented Dimash for this wonderful and touching version of Adagio..But having said i remind you that this is a reaction on Dimash and not on Lara,and is not a good behavior that you continue to use Dimash's reactions for write long messages on Lara..And for me this is very boring and annoying..Please stop with this and go in Lara's channel and reactions so you can write all what you want..Thanks and good luck for your life..Bye Eric

Covers just means this is not his original and I’m keen to let people know that Lara has strongly inspired Dimash for his emotions conveying and songs building.

This is one of the cover Dimash made of his idol Lara Fabian: he covered several more.
