When I first saw this, I felt some trepidation that Dimash might be "selling out", and/or selling himself short. However, after watching this several times now, I feel the fun of it - that his true strength is in his diversity and his ability to bring IT - *all* of IT - to everything he does. I'm on this journey with Dimash - and *loving it* until I no longer am part of this earthly sphere. Go Dimash! (And thank you for your awesome reaction Jamel_AKA_Jamal! :)

Jamal....that's the greatest reaction ever! You're right....let Dimash have his fun. He's not going to give up singing and go pop. That would be egregious and beyond ridiculous. He didn't study his whole life to waste his attributes on money and shallow celebrity. He does quite well. He's becoming known around the world despite the American music industry....which is horrible right now. It's about the music. It's great he's so versatile. If you have it in you as an artist ...go for it. Dimash is like a rich tapestry of different colors and hues ...yet it all weaves together for a beautiful picture. I never want him to go pop primarily. We have that in spades. And he wont. With his voice and passion...all he needs is music worthy of him. Quincy Jones. Andrew Lloyd Webber, Igor Krutoy, Wagner, Chopin, Mozart, Rachmaninov. Hans Zimmerman. Joe Blow. Let's write him some music for the ages. If it's even possible to improve on what he's already done. Dimash always switches it up and here he is channeling MJ. His all time favorite idol. He has studied Tae Kwan Do and does his own fight scene here also. Jackie Chan is a friend of his and lifelong idol as well so again he puts some of that into the video. This is a departure from Dimash's usual classical style and it's really fun to see him exploring all sides of his artistry. Thanks for the reaction and take care.

There’s no “they” except crew. Dimash brings his own ideas and helped write and arrange this original ala Quincy Jones, M Jackson. Even J Chan. You know by now that Dimash is athletic. Those were his Tai kwando moves. Love this video. Dimash and his crew are quality talent. As much as we love his work with Igor and classical crossover....it’s fun to get these kind of songs too. I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but Dimash has also has training in Taekwondo. I don’t know how advanced he is but there is a video on his KZbin channel with a practice demonstration. He’s so humble and says he hasn’t trained for a long time but I tell you what…I wouldn’t mess with him. 😅

She became a star in Russia after appearing on their version of the singing competition show 'The Voice'. Here she is at 15 years of age and already singing and performing like someone in their 30s, amazing stuff. That's not true: Dimash never said that he wants to be a pop star. On the contrary: Dimash is a multi-layered artist, not stuck in one genre of music, and that’s what fascinates his fans. He sang pop songs since he was a teenager and had this style all the time: MJ was his idol since childhood. Lucciano Pavarotti, Lara Fabian and Celine Dion are his idols too. Dimash decided to carve out his career in contemporary music, mixing classical elements and traditional Kazakh music with pop, rock, RnB, rap music. You should watch Dimash's concerts in which he always combines songs of various genres. By the way, Dimash's voice range only widens with age... 😊

Its not meant to be listened to by adults that hate pop music. I'm afraid that you have lost perspective.

I don't understand the "lost perspective" angle (no pun intended). A person's perspective is what it is, not what we want it to be. I personally can't deal with Dimash because I find his voice gimmicky (even if technically impressive), but to fault Jamel for branching out is to treat him like a human jukebox. Jamel isn't performing for us, we are observing him as he explores what's out there.
