This is possibly his best ever performance, it's breathtaking, just try to follow some of the vocal lines, it's almost impossible! He is using multiple colours/timbres/intensities at high speed with such fluency, and that is the jaw dropping aspect! This Bastau concert contains several such exhilarating performances, it represents one of his standout stages of development.. He even looks physically different to any other time Ive see him! This man! Unbelievable!

Brian, this was right after the whirlwind of the Chinese show and all the trips he made while also participating in the show and he had lost a lot of weight. His face looks very gaunt and his pants look like they are hanging on him! He still looks handsome but he's looking much healthier these days. :-D

This was his first solo concert He did 21 songs, where artists normally do berween 10 and 15. And at a high level throughout The whole concert is on his channel. The place of the accident is famous for its waterfalls, hence the waterspouts behind him.

Thank you for reacting to this performance. I have so much respect for Dimash's artistic choices in how he interprets this song. He alternates roles between an adult narrator to whom this happened as a child, the adult as he relives this trauma in his dreams (night after night until daybreak), and then becomes the child as he lives the trauma in real time. I watch his body language, and hear his voice reflect the distance or proximity of emotional intensity, as he alternates through these roles. But it's the rawness of the child's scream, as if torn from Dimash's throat, that does me in every time. I'm in awe that such a young man as Dimash (only 22-23 at the time), who has had an ideal childhood, can channel the child in this story. The degree of empathy that's demonstrated in this performance is nearly unfathomable. This is, for me, one of the most masterful, powerful performances ever given by Dimash, It's so real and so painful that I can only watch it occasionally.

This is a true story..a 2 year-old boy lost his parents in an accident due to an overloaded cable car which left 14 dead and 22 injured. The boy survived (the parents managed to lift him to safety) and was later adopted by Han Hong who commemorated the boy's parents sacrifice by writing this song. Thank you for your fab reaction!!

I have enjoyed the last 5 or 6 hours wat hing your Dimash and Diana reactions. I have thoroughly enjoyed them. I would love for Dimash to do a concert here in Texas, we can only hope. There is another artist you should react to, Angelina Jordan from Norway. She won Norways Got Talent at age 7. You really should start there, you will be shook and mind blown. I'm really loving your reactions, see you on the next reaction. ❤

"Daybreak" is a song about a real-life tragic accident with a cable car in China. The parents of a little boy managed to save him, but they both died. The singer/songwriter Han Hong adopted the child and wrote the song. The song is from the perspective of the child. Dimash sang it at the Singer, though he was sick, and I love that performance, too. He became friends with Han Hong. You may watch the video on G. Wu's channel about the Singer performance, the backstory and Dimash's thoughts about the song. Next you may react to "Daididau" from the Singer - it also is a heart-wrenching song with a backstory: a Kazakh poet was imprisoned during the Stalin times and was told that his wife had left him (which was not true). So in the lyrics he spoke to his wife, whom he called Daididau. Dimash's dream was to sing this Kazakh song in front of big audiences abroad and make it popular, and his dream came true. Here is the link to the performance kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGezdoiJbL-Gmbs You may check out also G. Wu's channel for the backstory and English subtitles. She has somewhat altered the video to avoid copyright problems kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoDWaKWho5hpgpI

Maybe one will tell the very very sad story behind this song... I could, but only fragments. As far as i know it is a true story of a boy ,who lost his parents in an accident with a cable car in the mountains. And the parents saved the life of the kid in last second by holding him up.... somehow...

Dears from the West, let's bring Dimash to #1 on fan's competition in MTV US Friday Livestream ( 5 to 8 PM). Just register and vote REQUEST DIMASH. No need to add any emoji otherwise your request will be not accounted. Dears from the East are voting 17 weeks, but for that part of planet it is very difficult time (middle of night or daybreak ) and many of Dears can't vote. Tvitter is not available in some of countries 😢. DIMASH holds #2 place because of lack of amount of voting fans. He deserves to be # 1, doesn't he?

It is said that Han Hong's dedication to honour the parents' sacrifice took her into a cable car to see the height from which it would have fallen, how the people in it might have been feeling, and she also learnt the decision the parents came to as the car was dropping to hold the toddler above their heads so the impact of the crash would be taken mostly by their bodies. She herself, it is said, lost her own parent/s around 6yo maybe using the experience of her own tragedy to form the lyrics. Dimash said when he first heard this song himself as a young child he trembled. The commemoration Han Hong and Dimash give this song is beautiful.

This performance was incredible. He makes every song important and special. This , he becomes the man remembering the sorrow he still feels losing his parents, and the little boy hanging onto hope only to feel hopeless. Those notes are the screams and cries of both. I think because of the back story of this song and knowing the deaths were real makes it even sadder. He always tries to pick songs that move him. True songs about love and grief as well as poems. He truly does take your breath away.

Love to watch your reactions to Dimash, you feel the music so deeply... This is one of the sad songs, and I assume you have done some research on it, since you know the original singer (she also wrote this song, and managed to adopt the orphan boy who the song is about). And finally - yes, Dimash will be moving to USA at some point soon, to resume the activities in promoting his work to western audience. Keeping my fingers crossed for you to get to go to his live concert 🤞

In 1999, a cable car accident took the lives of 14 tourists in China. One couple lifted their son (2 and a half-year-old) out of the falling cable car to safety. They did not survive the accident. Han Hong, who is a famous Chinese singer and songwriter, wrote “Daybreak” to commemorate the couple’s sacrifice for their child. In order to finish the song, Han Hong went to experience the feeling of riding a cable car. Through going up and down in the normal operation of the cable car, Han Hong felt fear and helplessness what is more to say in the terrifying moment of the accident. In the time of life and death, parents think of not themselves but their child, they tried everything to give him the chance of escaping from crushing to death. This is the love of parents. The little boy’s survival is a miracle held up by his parents’ hands. Han Hong later adopted the orphan. She said she feels empathy with the boy more than others since she herself lost her father at the age of six. When she heard Dimash wanted to perform this song she called him and gave him her blessing, after she heard him she arranged to meet him and now they are firm friends. This performance is utterly breathtaking, him singing from the childs perspective was so incredible you could almost hear the toddler voice calling for his parents. Heartbreaking but beautiful at the same time. Dimash has made this song his own and Han Hong is fine with that ❤🌹❤🌹❤🌹❤

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, against TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. There was a horrible cable car accident where many people died. The car was overloaded. The parents of a 2 yr. old boy lifted him to safety and he watched them plunge to their deaths. Han Hong heard about the orphaned boy and sought him out & adopted him. Han Hong is a well known Chinese singer. She then wrote & performed this song. Dimash had heard it and was very moved by it. He asked if he could sing it when he was on 'The Singer' and she agreed. Dimash became very ill and lost his voice before & after that moving performance. He was in a great deal of pain. He had gotten throat injections before hand. He then had this stellar Bastau concert and was clearly healthy when he did this performance and the rest of the songs for that incredible concert. This performance is one of my favorites! Thank you. Please take a listen to '1000 Miles Common Dream' where Dimash is a legacy singer and interprets an ancient Chinese poem. Watch the before part and after he sings part too for complete appreciation of what he does with this poem: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIaVaqd3r9hnj8U

In this case, daybreak signifies confirmation of the disaster. What you thought makes logical sense, but this is the memory of a 2-year old at the time of the accident who is lamenting their loss and that he saw it as his parents dropped out of the sky while he was pulled to safety. Then, as a way of honoring his parents, he dreams of making them a beautiful garden. Ultimately, he was adopted by the woman who wrote the song. Loved your tenderness as always. So glad to have you back doing another Dimash performance. So many more out there for you.

I could tell you were watching with the lyrics immediately by your emotional response. This song is based on a true story of a cable car accident and the parents managed to hand their son to safety before they fell to their deaths. The original singer adopted the child and wrote this in honour of his parents. Dimash performs this so beautifully and connects so well with the sentiment behind the song. It’s been a while Tré!
