It's this question that always comes up about Dimash being an 'opera' singers.... his fans are very curious but they don't realise that, in the world of opera, voices are strictly compartmentalised. Even one type of soprano is different from other in the roles they are allowed to sing. You know this, but a lot of Dimash fans don't.

Wonderful reaction 😊 Thank you! ❤ I don’t think it’s a secret why he can do the things he does. Everyone knows what is needed. 🤓 But to copy it is impossible. First you‘d need to be born into the right environment (musically gifted AND loving AND supportive family) AND have the right vocal chords/body AND know from a young age that you want to be a singer AND have pinpoint focus on music AND have the personality to work hard to perfect your craft, but be humble enough to still learn from others AND maybe other factors I can’t think of right now Many people have one ore two of those things. And they achieve great feats. But he has them all. 🥰 And we are lucky to witness this 🥳

We've had so many treats from Dimash lately but mostly on Instagram. He's played piano 3 times, the Boganyi piano at the Kertesz Institute, playing The Story of One Sky for Tito Boganyi and then playing the bright yellow piano at the Hard Rock Hotel in Budapest, then an impromptu performance of Ave Maria accompanied by Hauser and still to be revealed at the end of December his much awaited duet with Placido Domingo.

Anyone who plays an instrument (like me, who plays keyboards) notices the technical quality of Dimash's arrangements: In the part where he harmonized the melody with a funk-jazz arrangement he could use the classic jazz-bebop scale (with the augmented fifth) but, based on the positions of his hands on the keyboard and the sound, we can see that he enhances the music using inverted chords, increases augmented fourths and sevenths and explores variations of the mixolydian mode, these are complex chords that demonstrate what an excellent vocalist, musician, instrumentalist and arranger Dimash is!

Always enjoy watching your Dimash videos and reviews. ☺ Wait until you hear Dimash singing his duet with Placido Domingo. Dimash was invited to be part of the jury along with Placido and other major classical world stars in Budapest Hungary for the Virtuosos Talent Show to be televised (I believe) Jan 7th 2024. Looks like Placido was absolutely tickled to meet Dimash as he immediately told Dimash he wanted to sing a duet with him and that they would start rehearsing the next day. (LOL) Love that clip of their initial meeting. We are looking forward to the performance and the entire show. On that note, you should check out Dimash's performance of Eternal Memories from the movie Battle of Memories at the Macao Grand festival last month. Around 50 film theme songs were performed and apparently Dimash sort of blew all of their performances away with his own performance. It's pretty spectacular. ☺

As part of the “Beauty and Harmony” program, Dimash delighted the audience in China with the Kazakh song Dudarai composed by Bakhytzhan Baikadamov. Dimash was accompanying himself on dombra and piano to perform the traditional song in jazz style. It was really amazing to see on stage a new facet of his multiple skills, always on point!! 🔝❤️🎤🪕🎹

Coming in Jan will be his duet with non other than Placido Domingo. We are all looking forward to it. The show which was recorded in Hungary will air I think on Jan 7th. I trust one minute after the duet airs we will have it on You Tube from someone. From the clip of their meeting Maestro Domingo told Dimash he was no longer able to sing Tenor so I am assuming DImash will sing Tenor while Maestro will sing Baritone? Can't wait!
