👉 Dimash presented this song "Fly away" here at the "New Wave 2021" (International Young Artists Competition - Dimash was a juror and guest of honor) in Sochi, Russia. This song makes you want to dance...but also listen to the lyrics and see the dancers' choreography...awesome. The song for Dimash was written by Kazakh authors and is aimed at the youth: to let go of all problems and differences and open the way to freedom and soul-searching. Jordan Arakelyan, the author of the lyrics to Dimash's hits like "Give Me Your Love" and "Be With Me," shared how work on the new track went: "Dimash always says upfront what a song is about should and determines the meaning in it. When he sings the demos I can hear certain words even though Dimash sings without lyrics. The new song "Fly Away" is about mental and creative freedom and also freedom of thought." Songwriter Yedilzhan Gabbasov, who has been in the music industry for more than twenty years, said: "The inspiration came to me one quiet evening when a melody suddenly popped into my head. I started humming it out loud and immediately thought of Dimash's voice. And I love this song too, it's poppy and fresh and danceable but with deep lyrics - and I love Dimash's straight powerful pop voice too - and of course his looks... 😘 If you haven't already, please react to his super cool mv of "Be with me", and some more of his Kazakh songs which are all so special and very dear and important to Dimash (and I personally love so much...). E.g. Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz Festival), Karaghim-ai, Ömir öter (both Digital Show and mv), Amanat, Qairan Elim.... 👍👍 Thank you for your appreciation. Perhaps you will be interested in this comprehension reading of this song : it is the 2nd painting of the triptych ("Stranger", "Fly Away" and "Ave Maria"). This set is a form of allegory of human life : birth ("stranger" = incarnation of the soul), life itself in the contemporary world ("Fly away" = invitation to detach ourselves from the dehumanizing aspects of our lives ), and finally death ("Ave Maria" = the elevation of the soul). These 3 songs were presented in this order and the many symbols in the lyrics, the settings, the staging of the choirs and dancers allows this reading which says a lot about the spirituality of Dimash. If you want to see im do a "moonwalk" you should watch The Singer competition in 2017. He does a Bruno Mars song, Uptown Funk. If you haven't seen ALL of The Singer competition you should. Watch b4 and after he sings. For more info. on some songs, like Autumn Strong there is a backstory. I think you may have done a reaction to it. But just like Daybreak and Daididau, that also have very sad, true, stories, if u don't see them first u will NOT understand what they are about. For Daididau, which he did at The Singer,you have to know how much this Qazaq song means to him, it is a very important part of his country's past history. All Qazaq songs mean a lot to him and we should respect that. Try SamalTau, Quiran Elim, Amanat, Durduraz. There are so many other songs/performances he has done, from 2017 on, that you still have not heard or seen . Good luck with that.
