First commenter for once! Great reaction Bob as usual.Dimash always only does what the song calls for.He is very involved in the production too.Did you notice the lyrics? They are quite deep, I love them. It's about finding your happiness, not just following the crowd, I think.,being yourself.I love how at the end, Dimash is going in the opposite way to the dancers, just observing them, then they sort of do a zombie dance and die! Yes, it is very different from his norm, but it's great isn't it? He seems to do more airy singing lately,he obviously enjoys it.He has said that his favourite song to perform is Ikanaide, which is pretty breathy in parts.

Thank you! Very attentive and insightful reaction. This song has an interesting arrangement indeed. I love how the dancers and Dimash tell the story and show the message. Great lyrics. About the direction... Dimash is multifaceted as a person - and artist too. Pop is not new to him; he has always done everything. Dimash simply loves music in all its forms. I guess he will never stop to any certain style. As it was said in the song, he "wants to find his own way", and "is looking for something more". Indeed, he's always searching new innovations, experimenting, making surprising, even controversial mixes of styles. His musicality guarantees the results are usually great - and often phenomenal, even revolutionary. I see Dimash as a musical explorer. And I'm enjoying so much this journey with him!! :)

Great reaction! Dimash has always done pop. You should watch his first MV “My beauty”, it’s pretty cute to see young Dimash and his friends going after girls 😁. Next, you should react to some of his Kazakh songs, they are his soul. Try Samaltau from Tokyo jazz festival or the 2021 version. Both différents and good. Also Qairan Elim, the MV is beautiful and directed by Dimash himself. Amanat if you like the whisper voice. Daididau from Bastau concert is a must too👍🏻

Yes, the whisper is intentional for intimacy that draws you in. He does do the fake out in this song. No over the top vocals. Always trying to surprise us. He has another pop song (Okay) where it’s almost all whisper voice, but the music video is really great. He has a lot of songs without the vocal acrobatics.

You know one thing I like about this is a part you didn't watch, at least for this video--people charge up with the usual flowers at the end--and he basically steps back and lets the dancers take them. A very thoughtful gesture to the importance of them in this production. I do believe that of all Dimash's talents his ability to sing in that whispery voice with such control may go down as one of his most memorable skill. For his official music video of Quiran Elim, he is the co-director. I think I remember hearing him say he didn't like it very much--but I might just be making up that part.

Thank you, I like your analysis and reaction to Dimash, I've been following it for three years and it still blows my mind This man is the eighth wonder of the world❤Music, and the King of Hearts, Dimash his nickname and his real name is "Din Muhammad"., It's the abbreviation of Dimash, and Cody Bergen means "God Gave Him". Dimash Kudabergen, living legend, genius singer, one in a million, no, one in a billion. With 23 years of classical training, he has become a unique singer. He has an amazing musical education, all the technical details that he sings and uses, he knows how to work. It is musical perfection. There are no technical details that he does not possess, and no one has such talent and skills, it can be bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor, alto, mezzo-soprano, soprano etc., issings in 15 languages, he has the biggest range . He sings many genres, opera, pop, rap and so on. In addition to the talent that God gave, the work that he did is amazing. From the age of 5, he dedicated his life to music, did everything to develop it All his amazing songs blow your mind that he is an artist from another dimension that will make you addicted to his voice, art and music that he is simply a genius of this century,, Dimash. He speaks Kazakh, English and Turkish, Russian and a little Mandarin Chinese, was born in 1994, his height is 192 centimeters. He has a very serious musical education since his childhood. Dimash is interested in oriental philosophy Legendary music artist. He is the king of emotions on stage. He has incredibly great technique, and a unique voice covering over 7, he's a convinced straight guy. Despite his immense popularity, he is not a spoiled man. On a human level,,in personal life - very modest, kind-hearted, educated, good and honest, never consumed, never smoked, neither alcohol nor drugs. His popularity began in Kazakhstan, he participated in the program "I am the singer" in China, and his star rose all over the world(Good at sports. He practiced swimming and martial arts and has a black belt in Taekwondo. Able to swim and ride horses. swimming in the pool, breathing control, range, healthy lifestyle)He is an amazingly humble, warm simple man, apart from his musical excellence, as a person he is an amazing person. His songs are exceptionally complex both technically and emotionally, he is able to properly develop emotion in music both vocally and artistry.Dimash has fans (called dears) from 150 countries around the world. she has good looks In Fans of all religions, cultures and nationalities, it is world music (well, she's very attractive and cute) or because her performances are fun (unlike other pretend singers who are more performers than singers and vocalists). We love him because of the talent he has, because of the work he has done almost all his life. He deserves everything. There is no other singer who can be compared to him, he is at the apogee of development. He plays 7 instruments, loves the culture of his country and wants to introduce it to the world. As I already wrote, he is very educated, he is still studying. he has 2 degrees in classical and contemporary, and on the way to a doctorate in musicology.Dimash has an incredible range that no one has ever had, full range 7.7 octaves, from G0 to D8. ( D8 whistle note , off the piano) Has very good details, staccato, distinctive vibrato, rifs, melizens, vocal acrobatic, glissando, crescendo, dominoendo, long notes, breath control, correct tesitura, Able to develop emotion properly, fit roles well . Uses professional technique, Italian Bell Canto technique. In his song it feels like he is a professional even without high notes.Unfortunately, as always, geniuses are appreciated late, this guy deserves much, much more recognition, I hope the time will come and he will be properly appreciated. I also want to mention that Dimash is like a drug. I have been listening to him for the third year, I can't imagine a day without listening to him, he is the best, not because he sings high notes and has a great range, but because he enters the soul with his song and you feel something you have never felt before. .But if we consider it from a technical point of view, in this case too Dimash is the best. As vocal teachers and professionals say, her singing is technical perfection. I could probably write a lot more, but I'll stop now, I want more people to know about him, believe me, you won't regret it. I hope I conveyed what I wanted to say correctly. , His presence is so powerful and unwavering on stage, he is compared by some to the god of music, sometimes a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the universe, how he anchors himself to the earth, and his connection to the god, all at the same time. The place gives him the strength and confidence to "arrange the audience, orchestra and song", so that everything turns out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, this is unique. All of these qualities are only present in Dimash, for sure. The goosebumps and hypnosis caused by Dimash are the hallmarks of his concerts and appearances on stage, shaped by his infinite beauty, sometimes transparent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic. Dimash storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile,🤗❤salam 🙏to you

👉 Dimash presented this song "Fly away" here at the "New Wave 2021" (International Young Artists Competition) in Sochi, Russia. This song makes you want to dance...but also listen to the lyrics and see the dancers' choreography...awesome. The song for Dimash was written by Kazakh authors and is aimed at the youth: to let go of all problems and differences and open the way to freedom and soul-searching. Jordan Arakelyan, the author of the lyrics to Dimash's hits like "Give Me Your Love" and "Be With Me," shared how work on the new track went: "Dimash always says upfront what a song is about should and determines the meaning in it. When he sings the demos I can hear certain words even though Dimash sings without lyrics. The new song "Fly Away" is about mental and creative freedom and also freedom of thought." Songwriter Yedilzhan Gabbasov, who has been in the music industry for more than twenty years, said: "The inspiration came to me one quiet evening when a melody suddenly popped into my head. I started humming it out loud and immediately thought of Dimash's voice. And then I realized I'd really like it if he were the one to sing that song."(dimashnews) - Backstage after performance - kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zn6lmYmogLyJa80

I'm loving your reactions Bob and enjoying taking the journey with you. I believe Dimash is involved with all parts of the process in some way but he is definitely a natural collaborator, and he knows what he is good at and what his limitations are. So what he does is get the best of the best in other fields to do their thing and help put it all together. He would not do choreography, lighting, stage sets, digital scenes, background projections, filming etc. All those things are outside of his areas of expertise. Why waste time being an auteur? He sticks to what he is really good at which is singing and delivering a brilliant performance. As to the music - of course he is heavily involved in that. It has to match his internal values and vision. However if Igor Krutoy composes it, Dimash assists Igor in bringing his vision into reality. The song Fly Away is part of a series of songs showcased at New Wave Sochi. Stranger is about rebirth into a new life on Earth (you've reacted to that already). Fly Away is about finding your own way in this life and not letting others and the desire for a comfortable, uninspiring life prevent you from achieving your goals. Passione is about the continuous earthly push-pull in humans between desire and innocence. Ave Maria is about going back to heaven when your time has come to do so. They are all very different styles from each other. All well worth seeing! The most recent song Okey, is also very different. Soft vocals again all the way through. The song is all about the interplay between two opposing visual stories and the words of the lyrics (turn on English subtitles). Somehow nothing quite matches up in the way that it should and you start wondering what's going on. It's really good. His acting skills come to the fore. Am looking forward to seeing more Dimash reactions when you have the time. All the best x

Yes - 'Pop Star' Dimash! 😆 We can see in a number of Dimash's songs {and some of his moves! } what a fan he was of MJ as a young boy. I suspect along with his classical training, ( like millions of kids all over the world! ) he was 'practicing' in private and dreaming of being something like 'the Kazakh MJ'! - rather than 'The Great Operatic Star' that his trajectory was originally geared to. His decision to decline a prestigious place in the National Opera Company, based at the Astana Opera House, and his subsequent branching out and experimenting across ALL genres speaks to the genius of artistic cross- fertilisation that he is now bringing to the world. This approach, including his use of many styles and many languages, is jolting audiences everywhere out of their industry profit centred increasingly narrowed genre preferences. Dimash has of course surpassed MJ in so many ways, but then he didn't confine himself to just one role model. He wisely studied many of the greats. This performance was one of three he presented to the Sochi Young Performers Competition, where he in previous years had competed himself, but was here back as a Headline Artist and Guest Judge. These three; Stranger, Ave Maria, and this one; Fly Away could not be more different. This was a real showcase of the depth and breadth of his skill across the whole performance spectrum, including composition and arrangements etc. Dimash also involved the young emerging artists competing at this event in his work, with opportunities to participate as part of his background Choir in the first two songs. Yes - he keeps surprising us and keeps evolving as an artist. 😍

thanks for this nice reaction. Dimash has a lot of songs without any "vocal acrobatics": Amanat (very very sweet song), Omir Oter (to me, one of his most powerful song even if he does not hit any super high notes), Qairan Elim (an extraordinary song for his country), Qaraǵym-aı (kzbin.info/www/bejne/fprPp4iFhLWFrKc this version performed in tribute to his teacher who passed away from covid is heartbreaking), Ocean over the time (very poetic), or, of course, his latest song Okay (the video is a piece of art)! Dimash is an immense artist, with an insane range but he does not need to show off, he adapts his vocal skills to the emotion/mood/message he wants to convey through the song: this is why he is not only a vocal genius but also an incredible performer: he is at the service of his art.
