Linna said she had to do the rap part because Dimash can’t rap in Mandarin. She was very nervous because it was her first time rapping, but she did a perfect rap. Both of their voices are superb, full and rich and pure. Dimash’s bell-like notes melt my heart. 🎉❤🎉

Gong Linna is a famous Chinese singer and, in this song, the theme is a young quadriplegic Chinese woman who only moved one finger and wrote poems with that finger! At the end of the song, an excerpt from a poem by this young woman is recited!

Thank you for your emotional reaction. Dimash and Gong Lina did a great duet. Yes, Ms Gong did her first rap in Chinese, fill with emotion. Dimash totally embodied the emotion and the pain as if coming from the struggle of the young girl. The voice you hear at the end is from the said young lady she spoke those words of one of her other poem via the help of the ventilator to breath.

Great reaction - you really felt this! Glad you persevered through the problems to get it uploaded! When this song was originally performed, Gong Linna duetted with a young female Chinese rapper - but as Dimash has never rapped in Mandarin, she was the one who had to do it this time! (Dimash was also very hard-pressed to learn the Chinese lyrics to two songs in the short time he had to rehearse, between two rounds of the 2024 Singer tv show.)

In one of the backstage videos of Gong and Dimash, she expressed the importance of this song to her....and mentioned Dimash's The Story of One Sky... both, important social issues. I think that's why Dimash was emotional. This is such a beautiful song, especially since Jenny Bao was able to chronicle her life and feelings, despite her medical condition, through her poetry. This song won this show's episode. Afterwards, there's a backstage clip showing Jenny face timing Gong to say Thank You....with Dimash present. It's a tender moment, too. Video is on that Chinese KZbin site. Loved your reaction...you're sensitive to the song in every way. Lei ha una bellissima voce, ma la parte rap proprio non mi piace. Per il resto la musica è veramente penetrante. Dimash impeccabile come sempre, ma ricorda "un uomo kazako non piange mai". L'ha ribadito anche all'ultimo concerto in Düssendorf (o Praga?). Dimash è un bravo attore e ti fa credere che piange, ma un uomo kazako non ci riesce proprio! 😜
