Emotionally, because on these songs we grew up all the CIS and Kazakhstan and Russia and Ukraine and Belarus, and he also learned from them. And after that I began to teach both Chinese and English. Therefore, such songs are emotional for him, he lives them, and not just teaches them to perform. We love Dimash! In the same place, there seems to be a translation into English from Russian in this song, why do you look without it? At least the meaning of the song would be clear. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh equally. English has become much better in Chinese with a translator, but he knows songs.

This was another very enjoyable reaction. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZbinr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. Here is the link, in case you want to watch it. He is consistently perfect. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHvHg2iXfd92l68

Yes he is astonishing! May I suggest you react to 2 other performances of this song, one from his Arnau Kinetic Voice concert in Kazakhstan, a more rock style, and another in Moscow which is the most sensual performance I've seen from anyone, ever! Perhaps do both in one video? Greetings from Cape Town South Africa

Something that is easy to miss is that this group, A-Studio, had been playing this song, which they wrote (keyboard player), for 19 years. So they were very smooth and plugged in to this song. It is so much easier to sing a song when the band is super comfortable with it. That last crazy run at the end was over 22 seconds long on one breath while doing a huge up-slide and a couple descending runs. Crazy difficult.

I think that if you enjoy Dimash, you would enjoy another amazing singer, Diana Ankudinova, who is an amazing young singer with amazing vocal abilities....some say she is the moon if Dimash is the sun....Maybe Wicked Game (Chris Isaac cover) or Rechenka first, when she was 15....she is 18 now, and the Elvis cover of I Cant Help Falling in Love" is mind blowing. Her personal story is also amazing in what she has overcome.

You might want to listen to a young Russian singer that Dimash recommends - Diana Ankudinova who is 18 years old in this video, singing a very unique cover of Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love. She's a contralto, and a commanding stage presence. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g17dn3dshrCVqMk Diana (dee-ah-na) was abandoned by her abusive mother at the age 3 and placed in an orphanage, diagnosed with cognitive impairment. Her adoptive mother had her enroll in singing lessons to help with some speech problems due to abuse and neglect. Her singing talent was immediately noticed and the rest, as they say, is history. It's a safe prediction that you'll have goosebumps and say that's the most unique voice you've ever heard.

I really enjoyed your reaction to this amazing song. However, you cut it off too soon. Watch it again to the very end. After he is almost buried in flowers, he speaks to the audience and thanks the musicians, showing what a fine young man he is. By the way, the man in the audience (white shirt) who gives a standing ovation, is Igor Krutoy, a very famous Russian composer. He composed and played the piano on "Love is Like a Dream." This was the first time he saw Dimash perform, and he immediately called Dimash's father and said he wanted to compose for Dimash. They have worked together ever since and became close friends, producing a great body of work, including Olympico, Okay, and many other great songs. Carol in Boston

Why would anybody "worry" if it was "the virus"? As long as you have recovered it really doesn't matter what it was. This seems to be the typical thing with KZbinrs when they say they've been sick or under the weather "don't worry, it wasn't the virus". Why in the world would anybody feel the need to qualify like that? smh
