Yup, that was amazing. At first, I was dissappointed when we were told he was working on some Jazz songs, but mostly because I was hoping he would go towards Rock or Metal next. I am not a Jazz fan but I find that this song is growing on me. The Dimash magic, I suspect. Great reaction but you need to get out to a chiropracter to fix that neck issue.😂🤣🙄🤣 before the Dimash jazz causes further injury.😏😂🤣😅 🥰🥰Hugs from Canada🇨🇦

Thank you. That is a Dombra. A traditional 2 stringed instrument that is considered the soul of Kazakhstan. The majority of Kazakhs have one and know how to play it. The 1st part is gorgeous, then Dimash jazzes it up and it is very fun :). He is amazing.

I have to admit I had a hard time with this at first. The beautiful folk melody was so stuck in my head the switch up was a hard adjustment. But after more listens....now its one of my favorites. It's brilliant. And Dimash pulled it off with authentic jazz/funk vibe right to the very last note. His lower register is to die for. Dimash is the singers' singer. That PhD should be a piece of cake at this point. Thanks for the great reaction. Enjoyed__

❗Dombra the 2 stringed ancient instrument of the Kazakh nomads of the steppes, his Grandfather a Master Player honored by the government and considered a "national treasure", recently deceased. In traditional Kazakh families, the eldest boy is presented at birth to his paternal grandparents, in ceremony, to raise until the age of 10, he taught him chess and they played constantly, Dimash called him Papa and adored him. A quiet, wise and loving man, everyone did. Dimash will present his first son to his parents in like manner. Traditional extended families live under the same roof as he does, they do not leave home before marriage, the men bring their brides home to live. The girls have no contact with their birth families for one year.
