Yes at first Dimash did often play instruments especially in the Singer program: piano, dombra, and drums. Nowadays he doesn’t as much. Though his latest performance of Dudarai on cctv1 was a stunning performance with a dombra in the folk section, and a keyboard in the jazz funk section.

Hi dear Fil ! 🥰2 days ago Dimash uploaded a beautiful duet (Pécheurs de perles: "Au fond du temple saint" by Georges Bizet) with Plácido Domingo who is a living glory of bel canto. It was a childhood dream of Dimash to be able to sing with one of the Great Tenors. Being both juries in "Virtuosos talent" in Hungary, Plácido Domingo invited him to sing together. It is a pleasure to hear Dimash sing in his lyrical voice, with a magnificent orchestra behind him and a great tenor at his side, the HQ music stage that he deserves. I don't know what the bel canto purists will think, but the truth is that Between the two they have achieved a wonderful harmony for our ears, thousands of people who never listen to opera were fascinated, and in just a few hours they already have almost half a million views. Budapest is second best from my home (I live in Bucharest, Romania) so, it's almost home because Hungary is our neighbour country. Yes Phil, that is the same Lady that believed in HuaHua! This is one of the times when Dimash’s duet partner actually gave just as strong of a performance as he did. Laurie’s vocals are stunning yet powerful! She has that added it factor when she performs. I watched some of her past performances on the Singer but there isn’t that much, she moved on to judging after that competition. You should see Dimash do Stranger on the Super Shine Brothers competition.

If I remember correctly, Laura Sheng was co-owner of the Black Gold Agency that Dimash signed with but gave him so many problems and didn't pay him properly for his many appearances. It took Dimash's mother taking them to court to get him out of the contract they had tied him into.

Just my opinion, but I believe that it appeared suspicious that during only this crucial episode and performance that Dimash's mic cut out a couple times [07:25- 8:19, 09:30-09:40]. Dimash, being the professional that he is didn't react or skip a beat!

В финале конкурса, отключить микрофон Димашу, просто нет слов насколько это возмутительно! С 8.10 микрофон не работает, когда Димаш это понял, отдал аван сцену партнерше. Это же какой стресс он испытал в этот момент! И только в конце его включили иначе бы было очень заметно.
