i do not understand why not English-speaking people should speak without an accent. you know at least one American singer who would sing in Russian or Chinese without an accent? Well over here it’s all about the pronunciation especially in opera singing. We value it when you pronounce the s at the end of a word or something as little as that. Though many singers don’t pronounce/enunciate the s or any other letter.

I’m not saying they have to speak without an accent it’s just we have our expectations and we will get it if you’re from another country and can’t speak English. M angel and ovela wasn’t bashing him for him not pronouncing those words correctly. It was a joke. They get that he can’t speak English and they also know that songs can be projected not only by the lyrics. It’s the emotion and the presentation.

I think he sings in English or French occasionally because he uses the original songs, not because of trying to reach English or French speakers. His special category of songs contains those composed by Igor Krutoy, which are all in Russian, except Ogni Pietra and Passione which are in Italian, the main language of opera, as both pieces are operatic. Russia and China are big enough for him. The question is why doesn't he speak English? Obviously it wasn't a priority for him, when his academic work was mainly in Russian, and he seems culturally very connected to Russia.

All of them have wide range with so much agility and can sing effortlessly. I notice that singers with high-pitched voice usually will have ppl saying that they strain, scream only, dont sound good, have bad technique and blablabla. I am so used to it. I guess some people just dont have the ears to listen to these kind of voices. Even if professionals praise them... these people (haters) will go making excuses and debate non stop. It doesn't matter, if he has an accent, nobody's perfect, he hadn't enough time to learn another languages, and of course it was hard for him to learn lyrics of song in 1 week, but he is young, he started to learn English and Chineese, and in future he could speak and sing in English perfectly!
