This theme is two thousand years long. It is a matter of honor for every outstanding composer to write his song "Ave Maria". On August 26, I listened all day to "Ave Maria", the music of which was written by Igor Krutoy. The short composition lasts a little more than 4 minutes, there are no words, there is no movement on the stage. But you sit at the screen in a daze. This state was with me during the first viewing. The sounds of Dimash's voice flow into your ears and disconnect you from the outside world. Dimash six times as if repeats one musical phrase, each time he sings differently, with an increase in tension and greatness - «Rejoice, Maria!». The choir is very important, especially the male sound. After all, the people who personify the choir, also rejoice, also praise. The final vocalise, in my opinion, is an absolute masterpiece of vocal art. The subtlest sound with a smooth increase, and then in the opposite direction - as if it is the last gift of Maria. After repeated listening comes the idea of the role of Dimash in the very existence of this work. But there would be no Dimash, there would be NO THIS song "Ave Maria". Такое состояние было со мной именно во время первого просмотра. Звуки голоса Димаша вливаются в твои уши и отключают тебя от внешнего мира. Димаш шесть раз как бы повторяет одну музыкальную фразу, каждый раз пропевает по-разному, с нарастанием напряжения и величия - «Радуйся, Мария!». Хор очень важен, особенно мужское звучание. Ведь народ, который олицетворяет хор, тоже радуется, тоже воздает хвалу. Финальный вокализ, по-моему, является абсолютным шедевром вокального искусства. Тончайшее звучание с плавным нарастанием, а затем в обратную сторону - как бы последний дар Марии. После многократного прослушивания приходит мысль о роли Димаша в самом существовании этого произведения. На свете много выдающихся певиц, которые смогут, наверное, спеть это сложное произведение, но не было бы Димаша, не было бы ЭТОЙ «Ave Maria». Какое счастье, что я это слышала!

Не хочу сравнивать никакие варианты Аве Мария.Они все прекрасные, каждая по - своему. В этом произведении Димаш исполняя только один звук " А " в течение четырех минут, явил нам образ ангела, приветствующего Марию в момент благовещения. Шедевр, как результат союза двух гениев - Крутого и Димаша!

Мне кажется, что Мистер Харрис ждал привычную АВЕ МАРИЯ со словами, был разочарован, спрашивал: "а где аве Мария? из чего видно, что это аве Мария?". Мне кажется, в его ожиданиях была шубертовская АВЕ МАРИЯ. Один звук "а" для него показался слишком простым решением, даже примитивным. Мне показалось, что Мистер Харрис был разочарован самим произведением, но не Димашем. Димаша он оценивает высоко.

@@asia394М. Х. может думать и ждать чего угодно. Необычная трактовка, без слов, думаю, это пожелание самого Димаша. Мне кажется, что если бы были слова, их все - равно бы сравнивали, с предыдущ. А во - вторых, здесь Димаш ушел от необходимости петь на каком - то определенном языке, чтобы никого не обидеть, музыка ведь не имеет национальности, музыка - универсальный язык общения. You did not "hear the melody of Ave Maria" or "the words"? Which melody or words did you have in mind? There are around 70 musical compositions titled "Ave Maria," e.g. Bach-Gounod, Schubert, Brahms, Verdi, Elgar, Mascagni, Vavilov (Caccini), Bruckner, etc., etc., etc. There is no evidence anywhere that the title "Ave Maria" applies to a single song, or, for that matter, to a single set of words in Latin, English, German, Italian, French, Russian, or whatever. Neither is there any ruling that composers should include lyrics in their compositions, and cannot use the title "Ave Maria" for a "vocalise." In this regard, your comments appear to be ill informed.

Also, notice that he didn’t close his mouth at all throughout the song. 4:47 - The last note Dimash sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult exercises for singers and voice experts regard it as a singer’s ultimate test, a skill even the most experienced rarely ever master.

By the way, Dimash asked Igor Krutoy to compose a version of Ave Maria just a few weeks before the New Wave competition in Socchi, Russia where Dimash was a judge and guest performer. Dimash may have chosen to vocalize Ave Maria to make it more universal for his fans from all over the world of different religions. Just a guess. All I know is I've never seen so many moved to tears by this performance and likened to hearing an angel sing or being connected to heaven. @@alice_900 He is wishy washy because the song he reacted to before "Be with me" he was like telling us that every song can't be huge because he has to rest . The voice uses muscles and he named them. Then the fun song came on which mind you is the 1st video he had seen. Had it been an American artist that is all you would see and only live stuff if you paid the ticket or is some bootleg video. I also hate the mentality that if America didn't find it and doesn't play it then it really isn't that big of a deal yet for him. SMH Also once America plays him he will be rich. There are MANY existing versions of "Ave Maria" which simply means "Hail Mary". You are apparently familiar only with the one that has become popular over time, mostly in Western religion. Igor Krutoy composed this version for Dimash. It is a vocalise (without words) sung in legato style (smooth, flowing, connected) which requires the ability to use your body to support your voice and absolute breath control. It takes years to perfect. When you don't understand this aspect of singing, you cannot appreciate how extraordinary this young man really is and how this piece demonstrates his talent. He starts off singing acapella. When Igor begins playing the piano, Dimash repeats the part that he sang acapella and he is perfectly on key. His mouth is in the correct shape, his tongue in the correct position to give him the perfect resonance and natural vibrato associated with this type of singing. His arms move as he sings - it always seems that music flows through his body and his arms and hands direct his voice where to go - but his stance is grounded giving him the support he needs to control his breath. It doesn't change until just before he hits the highest note where you see him put one foot forward and give that slight twist of his upper body - a technique that helps him hit the note perfectly. Then he ends with that amazing messa di voce - holding that one note, increasing its volume (crescendo) and then pulling it back (again his hand reaches out and pulls back), never losing the key or the pitch. This was a masterpiece. At New Wave, Dimash introduced 3 new songs - one was more contemporary, one was an astounding piece that sounded like a soundtrack for an epic movie ("Stranger" - also written by Igor Krutoy who has said that Dimash is probably the only singer who could sing it as the vocal range is from C2 to F6), and this operatic "Ave Maria" which showed (to everyone who understands music) his years of training and his exquisite talent. In today's music world, there really is no one like Dimash. He IS music in human form.

Dimash told Igor that he wanted him to compose an 'Ave Maria' for him. Igor began working on it that same night. Dimash loved the composition, and the rest will go down in history as one of the most touching versions ever performed. I was raised Catholic, and the Ave Maria we're used to hearing was played at both my parents' funerals, as well as at the funerals of many of my relatives. It's sacred to me. But this version is sacred to me for a different reason. It's the one that moved me and healed me after losing my mom. She would have loved it.

Димаш аранжировку иполняемых песен делает сам, а аранжировку музыки делает его друг сауд продюсер Ерлан Бекчурин. Поэтому это шедевр в исполнении Димаша на музыку И Крутого которую он написал именно для, Димаша и никто как Димаш эту композицию не исполнит. В этой команде собрались свободные музыканты, которые дополняют друг друга.Это касается композиции Stranger.

You are confused by Shubert’s Ave Maria. There are at least 8 Ave Maria versions. His voice is an instrument and very very special.

You are confused, only because you think it is an Ave Maria you've heard. There are many different versions of Ave Maria, and this one is new. Yes, it is an Ave Maria, just not the one you were expecting. This was written by Igor Krutoy at the request of Dimash. I am assuming you were thinking of the Schubert version, or perhaps the Vladimir Vavilov version (Cacinni didn't write it). Schuberts version isn't really titled Ave Maria although that is what it has become to be known as. It is really titled "Ellens dritter Gesang" or "Ellens Third Song." The Ave Maria that was attributed to Caccini, was actually not written by him, but was written by Vladimir Vavilov in 1970.

Ave Maria is a prayer. There are many Ave Marias from different composers ( Schubert, Bach/Gounod, Caccini and many more!!)... this one is from Igor Krutoy composed for Dimash. Thank you for the reaction, Mr Harris! To be honest, I have learned long ago to silence all my expectations before listening and watching any new performance of Dimash. Except for the expectation of perfection, of course :) Dimash has a talent of surprising you each and every time, and it’s better to approach each new song with a mindset - expect the unexpected. I absolutely love this Ave Maria, but I would not listen to it sitting by the pool with a glass of wine in my hand, but in the forest or at the seashore when experiencing the forces and beauty of nature and God.

There are several " Hail, Mary" compositions. You were expecting the Schubert version, this one is more resemblant to the Caccini version, but this actually is the Krutoy version.😉

I assume you were expecting Ave Maria by Shubert, which is the most famous Ave Maria. But Ave Maria is also composed by Bach, Verdi, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Valen, Palestrina and many others. This one is by Igor Krutoy. Composed especially for Dimash. Dimash is a devoted Muslim and Maria has a prominent role in Islam as well. I think the title is appropriate cause it indeed sounds heavenly

... well, the most famous in the English speaking west and European west, at any rate. Eastern Europe is mostly Bach and Caccini. Bach's melody is very pretty. Caccini's version perhaps, the most poignant and haunting.

One of the most beautiful aspects about Dimash, and there are MANY, is to gift us with the unexpected. It was fantastic to see Dimash whip you around and give you something that pulled you right out of your comfort zone. I believe Dimash appeals to the heart and not the head!!! In this regard the head might say "WTF" but the heart/soul says "Ahhhh, I'm home!" No other vocalist can do this - or, certainly, not like Dimash can!!! Bravo, Dimash!!!

The last note is called " _Messa di voce_ " (nothing to do with " _mezza voce_" This singing technique requires a particularly advanced test of singing ability, consisting in sustaining a single pitch while gradually making the voice louder (crescendo) and then softer (diminuendo). This Ave Maria is the one you have to listen to, when wishing to fly with the angels... :=)

I have listened to Ave Maria many times during my life and this new version inspires and affects me more than the Catholic version with words by Shubert; anyone can sing Shubert's Ave Maria but like Igor Krutoy stated only DIMASH could do this version. DIMASH asked Krutoy to write a new Ave Maria and Krutoy did so. Ave Maria (Hail Mary)is the catholic prayer, I think DIMASH wanted the VOCALISE version so all people could get a message from the song without a connection to any one church denomination(this sounds like the way DIMASH would feel)

I know there was some reverence to the Ave Maria. This isn't Caccini or Gounod/Bach or Schubert...but there are a few things I did notice and I wonder if you can comment on. 1) Igor decided to bring the angelic sound forward and the choir in the rear. He also reversed it... The choir with the lyrics and the soloist vocalized. 2) With each verse there was more and more instrumentation. Igor was introduced in the second. The male choir in the third. the entire choir and Igor in the fourth,... the entire orchestra in the changed fifth and then Dimash descends back vocally to a final whisper...as if he is ascending back into the clouds...(where they did use smoke as a cloud imagery). 3) Igor is Jewish, Dimash is Muslim. I wonder if there was any apprehension because of today's "cancel culture" to step over that proverbial line and deliver the latin or Italian lyrics which may have offended some Catholics. ( For the record,... I am Italian and Catholic and I wouldn't have been offended...but I wonder if you know where I am going with this statement?)🤔. Perhaps not. Perhaps this was just Igor's artistry. 4) This arrangement to me allows itself to be expanded at a concert. This song can get very big very quickly or can be moved in many directions depending where Dimash/Igor wish to take it. 5) Remember....'Ascolta La Voce' [also written by Igor Krutoy], was ONLY a vocalized performance performed (originally) by Lara Fabian... Finally words were put to that song and Dimash performed it...it is called "KNOW"... and is probably a top 10 Dimash hit song. I challenge you to listen to those two songs and I believe you will see an Igor Krutoy pattern. 6) As a Catholic, even as a vocalized performance,... I very much felt the heart of Ave Maria. If this song was sung merely as a vocalized performance at...let's say Christmas Mass,... half of the people would be brought to tears. So many people that have listened to this version have been brought to tears. It is an incredibly strong song. 7) Last but not least; I thought you were going to write a song for Dimash? What happened?

What an instructive and educational comment. Its enlightened me. Keen observations about the choir raising the words in juxtaposition to Dimash with the vocalise. I was so captivated by the vocalise I didn't zero in to the choir. I'll have to listen again. What a marvelous piece of reverential music. You can see and hear that Dimash felt the reverence and respect. May God bless him with Himself in ways he cannot imagine.

Frankly, i prefer the different vocalizations of Ascolta to Know. The Russian lyrics are not good poetically and completely unnecessary to transmit the emotion. Also, for me it is a special miricle how Dimash transmits emotion just by vocalizing, without any lyrics. Obviously Dimash himself prefers Ascolta and perofrms it in all his concerts. Know he performs only on formal events, probably not to offend the lyricist who is a big shot in Russian business and showbusiness and a close friend of Krutoy. Lyrics are not necessary to Dimash to express emotions and meaning in his songs.

Dimash did it again! He never fails to touch my soul each time I listen to his celestial voice. I am sorry you were left befuddled. Ave Maria literally means Hail Mary. Most people are familiar with Schubert’s 1825 score for Ellens Gesang (Ellen’s Song) which eventually became the melody for Hail Mary, a Roman Catholic prayer. This vocalize is Igor Krutoy’s new arrangement exploring a section of Ave Maria which he wrote for Dimash’s enviable vocal range. Please listen to the beautiful introduction as I am sure you will appreciate it. Dimash has been spoiling us all recently with an aural feast of new songs! You have much to catch up on. In addition to Ave Maria, he sang two new songs at the recently concluded New Wave competition in Sochi, Russia: Stranger and Fly Away. Thank you, Mr. Harris. I'm sorry that you were distracted by hearing something other than what you expected. It's probably jarring to continue waiting to hear something that never happens. I wish that someone had prepared you for that possibility when you were messaged with the request. Then you could have probably experienced this performance from a still, quiet place as its intended. For me, what this performance delivered was magic, from the first acapella note to the final trace of the last note as it fades into eternity. It's a beautiful arrangement - I especially like the contemporary feel when the beat drops. Yet the song never loses its classical and spiritual feel. I love the choral arrangement and the way it supports Dimash's vocal, executed flawlessly and so full of emotion. I believe this performance will become legendary.

There is actually many versions to Ave Maria, the most known I think is Schuberts. You can check Ave Maria by Caccini or Bach or Ive Meri and those are all different. This is Igor Krutoys composition, if Im not totally wrong. Thanks for checking Dimash again!
