Now that I've caught up and watched all your Dimash reactions I can say that you are now in the "laughing" phase. He's so good that all you can do is laugh because you can't believe what your hearing, which seems impossible and yet here we are hearing Dimash sing the impossible. He reaches in, grabs your soul and takes you on an incredible ride every time. His vocal control in all registers is out of the this world and his sound is so pure. You, having a musical background (me too - trumpet) helps you understand how good he really is. There's so many songs that you haven't heard yet that will just blow your mind. This is one of my favorites though. I'm 52 years old and came across Dimash last year and so glad that we get to listen to him in our lifetime. This is the voice that I want to hear on my deathbed as I take my last breath (his song Ikanaide). I'm also a DCI fan (played with the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps for 4 1/2 years in D.C. from 88-92) and there's a few songs that Dimash sings that would sound great from a DCI hornline (Stranger and Olympico). Can't wait to continue with you on this Dimash journey.

👉 The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-7 holes, which is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was particularly popular with shepherds and was used by storytellers. They went across the country and told stories and legends in chants and with music (Kui). There are many legends and traditions associated with sybyzgy. In these legends the instrument is called a "living reed", because this strong, hollow stem, makes amazingly deep sounds. The whole life of Kazakhs is imbued with music, it sounds in ceremonies and rituals, in everyday life and at holidays. Listening to the sounds of dombra, kobyz or sybyzgy, one can understand the history and culture of the Kazakh people. It was easy and fast to make a sybyzgy, but it was very difficult to play it. Sybyzgy kuis (Kui: sung stories) were most two-voice melodies: the first voice came from the instrument and the second voice was the throat singing of the musician-performer.(www)

No. You can't expect anything from Dimash, he always shakes you like an earthquake on every song. He showed the whole world how to sing properly. And it's not just WOW, even teachers will have to retrain correctly on WOW! Learn the technique of singing from the great Dimash.

He just finished filming a German tv special called The Innovators. 5 young people around the world who are taking their industries by storm in new and different ways. He was the feature of a segment on modern music. Industrywide journalists are saying he is "changing the face of today's music".

@@pirkkoukkonen8039 It is my understanding DIMASHALI his production company (he is sole head and managing director) will be using it in the future for PR if they can agree on terms, licensing, copyrights, etc. It was about his innovative marketing strategy and one of the first in the world to self market only on the net, not using traditional media avenues and companies to reach a worldwide audience, not do mega tours, and built a state of the art production facility and films and produces his own videos, films, on line concerts in house and markets it all himself on the net and markets albums, videos, fan merchandise through his company on the net and circumvented the advertising, PR and marketing processes that have been industry standards for years. His company is staffed by long term collaborators, and experts in all the fields a vocalist musician would normally go to various industry companies to do individually. He's a one man Internet/media industry and reaches millions in an innovative way. The public doesn't know he's a business genius and extraordinarily competent in addition to a genius musically. He just keeps a very low profile and always gives the credit to everyone around him and they're invaluable to him and brilliant at what they each do, particularly his Dad He started it, however, and remains the head of it and creative force, and we all know where the real credit goes, as industry people do. He is changing the face of music in more ways than his incredible singing, and his innovative music, that's why he was featured. And still managed to finish school all the way to his Doctorate, completed the courses, still writing his thesis, and they're usually 600- 800 pages and then he has to argue it. It'll be awhile, tho he knocked out same for his Master's pretty quickly considering. Ha ! Who does all this by 28 ? The man's a beast !

I don't think it's a matter of opinion if Dimash is the best vocalist right now, because it's measurable: range, control and flexibility, versatility in genres. It doesn't mean he has to be everyone's favourite or you have to like him, that's a matter of personal preference - if you vibe with a singer and their music or not. But on paper, he IS the best vocalist.

I am so happy you discovered Dimash. And i hope you will do more Dimash. Two of his idols are also M.j and Lara Fabian. He did a tribute to M.j singing " Earth Song " and " Billie Jean" , he also has his own creations not just covers ,but all of his covers are amazing. It s to much to whrite about Dimash. I will say simple G.O.A.T. And you have to listen Stranger, Vocalise, War & Peace, Diva Dance ( the movie 5th element, imposible song), Unforgatablle Day ( Gakku Show with note D 8 out of the piano ) so manny. At the end of the second verse, Dimash sings "I love you" in Mandarin ("Wo ai ni") to the Chinese audience, and again in the third verse, adding "Men (I) seni (you) suyemin(love)" in Kazakh, before whispering "Thank you very much" in Mandarin at the end. Dimash beautifully incorporates Middle Eastern (Armenian, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijanian, Kazakh) runs in the song.

Please do Autumn Strong. You can do it from the Singer, you can do it from any concert, New York, Kiev, Prague, any because it is perfection. It will be in Mandarin but then you can do Ikanaide, which is the original of Autumn Strong but in Japanese with Dimash just singing in a studio for the most spectacular of all performances.

Did you know Lionel issued a desist order so Dimash can't sing this song again. I think it has to do with the comments Lionel read like dimash version is better than Lionel. That's why we only get one version of this song.
