This was a concert to celebrate Igor Krutoy's birthday, and all of the songs presented were his compositions, I think. Lots of stars, lots of glorious music. Dimash also sang Ogni Pietra at this concert, if my memory hasn't broken again. And there is yet another Dimash performance, this time with Aida Garifullina, of the song 'Ulisse.' It's gorgeous. And there's more ice skating, too. I listen to these songs with enjoyment, but I don't have your talent for expressing what I feel. Music enters your ears and then shines forth in your body language, facial expressions. exclamations of delight - adding to the music's glory. I have a fondness for classical music, too. I put that fondness to the test some years back by watching an entire production of the Ring Cycle (18 hours!), in German, with subtitles in English. That was an endurance test! I emerged still liking the music. :-)

Lara is Dimash’s idol and main inspiration since he is a child, he covered many of her songs, and here this was the first time he met her: look how fast he turns to her, even if he has not finished to sing with Aida, and how he is connected to her when he sings with her 😁 She later wrote the lyrics of his song Your Love (Igor and Lara created so many songs together during 10 years). You should check Lara originals and you will discover the most stunning stage performer on earth, queen of emotions conveying, as well as a top tier vocalists.

Great reaction! And we mustn't forget that somehow Dimash managed a duet with a world class classical Soprano, and then with a Queen of contemporary music. Different timbres, different vibrato, different stage presence, and yet he blended with them perfectly. There is another duet from the same concert, this time just with Aida, called Ulisse. If anything I like that one even more than this! Finally, I continue to recommend Be With Me (the Official Video), because this shows a completely new side of Dimash both vocally and in other areas. Imagine a 5 minute movie with Dimash as James Bond (but cooler) pursuing the girl, dominating a roomful of gangsters, and with a total alpha male swagger. Yet it's still Dimash, and there's a lot of subtle humour as well. I think you'd really like this one! Another wonderful reaction. This performance, as well as opera in general always invokes a very emotional response in me. This was a live concert in Moscow for Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday celebration. The whole concert is worth checking out. If you don't already know, Igor Krutoy is the man at the piano who frequently accompanies Dimash. He is a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter, who has composed music for and performed with renowned singers in classical and contemporary music, such as Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Aida Garifullina, Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Allegrova, and others. As you already know, he ended his retirement after watching one of Dimash's performances so that he could compose music that only someone with Dimash's vocal ability could sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Passione, Ave Maria, Stranger, just to name a few. You are already familiar with Lara Fabian. Aida Garifullina is a Russian lyric soprano of Tatar origin and in 2013 started performing at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg. That same year, she took first place in Plácido Domingo’s world-renowned, prestigious International Opera Singers Competition "Operalia" in Verona. That led to an offer to join the Vienna State Opera, as well as to a contract with well-known British record label, Decca Classics. Since then, Aida Garifullina has been the voice of the Vienna State Opera. She regularly gives recitals in Vienna and London and appears in joint concerts with opera's greatest stars all over the world. Her performance with Dimash of "Ulisse" from the same concert is also incredible.

More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish) and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks. She often co-composes the music with the composer. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, but also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia). She was raised in both countries so she speaks both french and italian as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory.
