Unforgettable Day...Dimash composed this song when he was 19 years old. It is a beautiful love song. He sang it on The Singer and has it translated into Chinese for that performance and it is indeed his song. How Dimash transitions from one octave to the other is just indescribable, with such ease and not forced. The dolphin whistle is the highest ever recorded, so I have been told. He did say thank you very much in the Kazakh language. Thank you for you interpretation of Dimash's vocals. I always enjoy your channel. He does unite people through his music, which is his goal. His music crosses all language, age, and gender. To me, that is the beauty of his music. So Facebook is the best place to make our request to you?

Hi! Yeah..tha is why I said that I am getting him more and more! His songs are beautiful and even though I don't listen to him on a daily basis I appreciate his talent and what he does to people through his music. Every artist wants to move people and he does it globally! Thanks for watching my videos, I really enjoy reacting to and commenting Dimash! I wouldn't say Facebook is the best way for requests. I like gong through comments here but it is impossible to read them all. I have a cold now so I check most of the comments but I can't promise that when I go back to work :) Regards!

👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love watching your reactions to Dimash! This song is Unforgettable Day, written by Dimash when he was 19. He performed it at Singer 2017 too with one stanza in Chinese. Here at the Gakku concert in Kazakhstan it is totally in Kazakh. There are several translations of the lyrics online( Dimash InfoStation, Gloria Wu, etc). Basically it starts with a description of how beautiful was the day I met you; then as the song moves into the higher more poignant section, it says, “How can I let you be someone else’s...” he ad libs differently every time he performs it. I guess he was in particularly good form that evening and got carried away and threw in this amazingly high note!

Just discovered your reaction site. Love your objective views. I share your view on Dimash concluding that he creates his own style or approach to his performance on the songs he sings. Just as all other iconic performers has their signature style. That's what makes them unique and creates new kind of music. Great Perspective! Also enjoy your authentic response overall on the whole performance as well.

Unforgettable this is a song that Dimash wrote when he was a teenager. Thanks for your great analysis. His voice is Androgynous A voice which is capable of sounding either male or female accurately (often applied to countertenors, sopranists and tenor altini). His transitions of the different voices are incredible which evenly dissipate into the arrangement of the song bringing a 'unique stylised FUSION' of sound to music genres a kind of POP OPERA; ROCK OPERA infused with SOUL. The only other singer who used a similar technique was Freddie Mercury of QUEEN. DIMASH is Special ...a Limited Edition.

I'm so glad that you are getting Dimash. Really enjoy your reaction. This song was written by Dimash when he was a teen. (16 or 19, I'm not sure) He wrote the music and the lyrics were written by a friends father, a famous Kazakh lyricist, after talking to Dimash for a while to get a sense of what Dimash might want to say. It is a love song about a day he first saw his love (Unforgettable day.) It's all about how much she means to him, but there is a sad line "So why would I give you to another?" so it sounds like it didn't quite work out.

Yes, reverse phonation is inhaling air. Dimash draws his lower lip a little inside while whistling, inhaled a whistle. In any case, it's awesome, i think it makes no difference how a note was performed.

Hi Yazik..in one of his interviews, he was ask about his mixing of opera (he's classicly trained) and pop sounds. His response was that he wanted to create a different sound that combined the sounds that he grew to love. He call his style "new classical".
