At this point in the competition, the audience and the entire country simply adores Dimash. He knows exactly what they want and he gives it to them with all his heart. And, whomever was styling him for the show was so connected to him and his performance that it added a whole other layer to the total presentation.

Currently his range (so far from a multitude of his live international performances) is six octaves from F2 to a sustained D8 The people in the back room are other contestants. Each week was a surprise for them as they didn't get to hear each other rehearse. One really nice aspect was that all the contestants throughout the competition were always encouraging and very supportive of each other. Dimash had even said they helped him expand a lot of his techniques, and he was so grateful with how much they taught him -- since he was the youngest performer, he was extremely grateful for all the advice from his seniors

One doesn't need to understand Mandarin in order to know all these info as there are many videos with English subtitles available on KZbin. One great go-to channel is from Gloria Wu, a fan of Dimash, who has created many informative clips on Dimash n his music with subtitles. I would suggest one of her videos entitled 'Dimash singer behind the scenes'. In this one you will be able to see how the artistes interact with each other and a lot of behind the scene stuff that is very interesting to watch. Please take a look, you will get to know Dimash a little more. Please remember to turn on the subtitles though.

Обычно в Европе и в Америке используются какие-нибудь клипы с интервью, которые зрители смотрят, пока артисты готовятся к выходу на сцену, то есть вы не увидите, как они готовятся, как они кланяются, как садятся за рояль, вы будете просто видеть те клипы. Но здесь вам приходится смотреть всё, и это интересно и приятно. Мне нравится. Я знаю песню, она великолепна. Иногда мне было затруднительно определить, поёт ли он по-английски, но я смотрел на титры и понимал, что да, он поёт по-английски. Но это не имеет значения. Он не обязан петь на десяти тысячах языках в совершенстве. Вокально это было, как всегда, блестяще. Я пытаюсь залезть глубже в его чувства, эмоциональную сторону, потому что я знаю, что вокально он со всем справится. Язииик! Привет! Я с вами не согласна во многом! Критиковать легко сидя в комнате! Но выступать на сцене и петь такую песню не легко!! У Димаша достаточно образования по вокалу! Тем более родители музыканты!! Он дал "Адажио" новую краску более приятную и вдохновляющую! Столько реакций читаю и смотрю, но некоторым трудно согласиться с безупречным лучшим исполнением Димаша!! "Правда глаза колит" говорят у русских. Талант есть талант! Надо признать его, несмотря насколько вам тяжело и завидно!!! Некоторые лукавят и стараются делать вид что не видят, как будто исполняет чей то "заказ"( конкурента Димаша)!! Нам все заметно и видно, насколько реакционер или критик искренен!! Многие просто привыкли к монотонному исполнению песен, от силы на 2 октавах, "кричать" как Димаш - это мечта каждого певца! Только у них не получается! А у Димаша все это легко получается как обычный разговоры. Димаш прекрасно знает где их применять и где нет. Are we talking about the same guy? Every single song I have heard him sing is shot through with expression and emotion-from despair to seduction. And the choice you offer,-“crazy high notes” or pure passion-isn’t a choice at all. You can have both. Style, technique and passion all strive together in Dimash’s performances. If you don’t find his rendition of “SOS” of “Adagio” to be passionate and emotional, I don’t know what to say to you. In this case, maybe it says something about you, not Dimash. Virtuosity and eloquence can work together.

Lovely to see you again! I have to WARN you! New season of the Singer show is starting and Hunan tv has given COPYRIGHT STRIKES to last season performances also. That sucks! So be careful! Dimash has many great live consert performances that are safe to see, if you some time have plans to do a Dimash reaction again. I put a link below to his Gakku consert song where he reached D8, one of the highest note for a male, I have heard! Allmost like a frequency that is!

Elsewhere someone suggested Late Autumn by Dimash and I would agree it would be good to see your reaction to that. Also Daididau, which is a Kazakhstan folk song, where he is in National dress and has folk instruments. Great reaction to this video and you are very instructional on your views, I think the problem with his English is the vowel sounds, obviously from country to country they are pronounced differently, but I feel this makes it sound charming.

Dear Yazik, Thank you so much for this reaction. There are hundreds of reaction videos to Dimash's performances on youtube, but the reactions given by professionals like yourself weigh a little heavier in substance. You are looking at this performance with a perspective quite different than probably 90% of Dimash's fans. I personally don't know an F sharp from a G flat; all I know is how the music makes me feel, how it touches my heart and soul. Dimash's voice has such captivating presence that whether one understands the language of the song or knows anything about music is of no importance. If the performer doesn't move the audience with his voice and stage command, then he is not passionate about the art. Without passion, one should not pursue music, period. Beethoven said it best: TO PLAY A WRONG NOTE IS INSIGNIFICANT, TO PLAY WITHOUT PASSION IS INEXCUSABLE. Again, thanks so much for your objective reaction. You covered all important points in this reaction. Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for your comment. I don't think he is shouting, but definitely using a lot of energy, and air flow. He is brave so he is doing some things that could be technically better BUT he lives in a moment, wants to give his all. Understanable. I don't like performaces that are all about technique. If you are emotional about something, you never think of the best technical way to cry (I mean off stage) etc I think he understands it and does his thing very well.

If you're looking for more emotional performances you should react to Diadidau or Late Autumn. Both are very emotional and had the build up and explosive notes at the end that you're looking for. They are both stunning performances. Unforgettable Day is also an AMAZING!!! piece and one that he wrote when he was 16.

Hey Yazik, I really appreciate your comments on the guy's talents. You pointed out his talents and different vocal ranges he sang in. I watched other video reactions and I don't know why they even bother posting their reactions about the artist because they didn't make any informative comments at all. It was just dumbfounded reactions and it was a waste of time to watch those idiots looking stupid because they have no clue as to what notes the artist sang in or how he uses different vocal ranges. I do appreciate you pointing out the music notes and some flaws even if some people may think other wise. It's refreshing to hear someone speak and make sense, unlike those other idiots reactions video which I wasted time.

Carolyn Greenburg hi, sorry for keeping it short, I'm on my phone. D#5 can't be hit in chest by a man, so it is heady mix I'd say. Chest register should turn into a mix around E4-G4 for tenors. Belt is a powerful note using chest or chesty mix. Regards 😊
