Thank you for reacting to this exact version. It‘s from his Arnau concert in Kazakhstan in 2019. Here he sings in Italian. Dimash sang this song many times after this performance as well. But honestly, some things just don’t get any better. I think this is epic. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the video and every, really every time my heart starts to race and I get goosebumps. That facial expression after singing the high notes. Wow, what a beast he can be. He then completely captivates me🫣. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. In my opinion, Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. Dimash Kudaibergen was honored with an award at the “Victoria” Russian National Music Awards on 5th December 2019 as the “Singer of the Year in Classical Music” for his rendition of Olimpico. He competed with major classical music stars in Russia. It was written for Dimash for the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Games in Minsk in 2019 This version of "Olympics"was part of a 3-hour solo concert in Kazakhstan in 2019 Called"Arnau"It comprised of over 40,000 spectators, including about 14,000, came from around the world to see him. The "pianist" is Igor Krutroy the composer of the piece and many others with Dimash. He accompanies on the Piano when Dimash sang his songs. Igor is ultra famous. A billionaire who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash upon hearing him. He said Dimash was the first new singer he could get excited about in decades. Their work together has created masterpieces. Glad you reacted to this ...which is one.. They introduced it at the Eastern European Olympic games. The lyrics are to inspire. Who else sings like this? Who else could? Many singers have wide range capability. But few use it artistically or can use it with such depth, quality and control. Dimash works hard to build and maintain his instrument. But without his innate talent...it would not captivate us like it does. Dimash is a treasure. At 29 he has already given the world a magnificent legacy of music.

I know what you were trying to say about the transition. Every time I hear this, it sounds like he's doing a duet with himself, doing both voices simultaneously! From what I've been able to gather, I think it's because he uses a dropped larynx of a baritone in a high register of an alto. So it literally sounds like both voice at once. Spectacular!

You are not the only person who doesn’t know how to explain DImash switching his vocals. Several sopranos y music teachers are perplexed as well. Dimash is just ONE in a lifetime. I am by nature also gifted with a better falsetto than usual, among choral singers at least but he just leaves me behind so soon. And sometimes he doesn't use that typical countertenor falsetto but something else much more resembling a soprano. Like on 2.50 start = falsetto and then suddenly 3:06 and 3:09 he falls out of timbre for one word only

transitioning from the low baritone/tenor register to the high soprano register is indeed dufficult if one is not properly trained...Dimash HAS been taking voice lessons/training since he was 5 yrs old...in his teens he was a member of a choir where he sang in the soprano section with young girls & he was the ONLY male there even after hitting puberty...he is THAT rare combination of pure talent, hard work & dedication to his craft...even now, he still consults with voice teachers to make sure that he is singing the right way, training 3-4 hours a day...thank you for reacting to him...MABUHAY! from the Philippines...
