No, this was a competition so what you hear here is Dimash but you will be very surprised to learn that is no where close to as low as he can go or as high? He was only 22 when he did this performance. Now at 28, he has only gotten better. He is from Kazakhstan so naturally sings in his native tongue but also Russian. That being said English is becoming his third language. He sings however in up to 14 languages and in many different genres. He also plays multiple instruments. There are two very popular songs, SOS, ( look for his digital 2021 concert performance) and then Sinful Passion. SOS is in French, Sinful Passion in Russian. Also, Ikanaide which he did from a studio during covid lockdown form the Tokyo Jazz Festival, in Japanese. In my opinion, he is the best I have ever heard.

This was just fun for him, you can see it in his face. He's from Kazakhstan btw. He sings anything from Opera to Rap and everything in between. He's already conquered China and all the CIS countries. He's just done stadium sized concerts in Dubai, Dusseldorf and Prague and is currently working with a couple of big names in the Western music industry. Dimash has fan clubs in 140 countries worldwide and is quite honestly the sweetest, most humble and hard working artist on the planet. He was born with perfect pitch and a natural talent but 23 years of solid training and education have honed that skill to perfection.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. Welcome to the best vocal talent on the planet. This performance was in 2017, he now has vast catalog from the last 5 years. This was not actually Opera although there's operatic technique. Dimash sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings rap, hip hop, pop, rock, classical music (bel canto), classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk, ballad and world music. He uses musical elements, and vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, RnB, and musical theater. I would respectfully disagree that being touted as, arguably, the best singer in the world is subjective. That is about a combination of talent, vocal ability, vocal technique, range (7.7 octaves), performance. You either have those things or you don't. Liking a singer or being moved by a singer or enjoying a voice or a style of music are all subjective. Please react to Stranger, New Wave 2021 performance next. Also I did not learn which musical style or genre you prefer from this reaction but there's a high probability that he does something in that style or genre or at least something very close to it.

If your eyes are watery with this, wait until you hear Dimash’ “Ave Maria”… and for the most vocal control, I suggest “Ikanaide”, a masterpiece. This is not enough to judge that Dimash is the best voice in the world. He sings so many pieces, and so many different styles, genres, has a range of over seven octaves, is extremely charismatic, and very humble. I think you would enjoy watching more of him! He did release an album in China, and it went platinum in less than 2 minutes…

He was 22 in this video. This is a Russian song popular also in China, so it was well known. In the original there is one key change. Dimash changes key three times lmao! This was the 2nd week of the competition. Week 1 is a French song called SOS (The Singer 2017). I recommend you watch it next Teddy. It was this performance that 'introduced' him to China and he became a superstar overnight.

Dimash began his classical/operatic vocal training at age 5. He was age 22 in this video and just turned 28 a few days ago. You should hear him now. He still trains vocally but not as much as he did from 5 until 25. The ov in his surname is usually only used when he is singing in Russia not sure why it was added while he was singing in China. His true surname is Qudaibergen. He is from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is part of the Eurasian Step and you can probably tell he does have a strong mix of European and Asian. He is 6 feet 3 inches tall. Very athletic, red belt in taekwondo, very philanthropic, very loving and comes from a very loving family. He is fluent in Kazak and Russian. He does speak some English and some Mandarin. Phonetically, he sings in many languages. He has developed a 7 plus octave range and is also a multi instrumentalist. I hope you react to many videos of his music.

One performance that shows quite a bit of his range, is "Love is Like a Dream".. check the "cc" icon, for English subs. He sings in 13 different languages. And you might want to sit down, and get a seat belt...because you really haven't experienced Dimash yet...Forget the older performances from 5 years ago. Opera 2 is not a usual song to begin Dimash musical journey with!Besides a few high note fireworks and a few more things you mentioned,this particular song doesn't spot his incredible vocal abilities and techniques.Listen to a few more of his masterpieces and then you may decide that he is if not the best singer,as you said(because music is subjective)then he surely is the best vocalist! Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings. His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. He just turned 28 and has been in formal music education and training since age 5. He has multiple degrees in music and is working on his PHD. He sings 7 octaves and 9 semi tones in 13 languages and plays 8 instruments. Right before covid hit he played a sold out concert in NY to 13,000 and fans came from 68 countries to see him! His vocal prowess and range of styles/genres and vocal ability is like no other. Take Pavoratti, Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Eminem musical abilities, and David Bowie's fashion elegance, and you have Dimash! Dimash is from Kazakhstan; was classically trained since the age of five (He was 22 here and recently turned 28). He has studied classical, contemporary, jazz and theatre. Dimash has been training his voice from the age of age years old. Still trains daily. In 2017 he had 6 Octaves plus 2 half notes. Last I heard he has 7 octaves plus half notes. This gives him a wide range to work with. Loved your honest reaction. While he was on this show his first performance was SOS I suggest you react to that one with English subtitles, to see more of what he can do. I agree that you need to watch SOS, but it definitely should be the 2017 Chinese show 'I Am Singer'! Its his breakout performance and the song he performed before this one (Opera2), and then follow on from there chronologically. He really is the greatest vocalist ever to draw breath, but this song is very limited as to showcasing his ailities. Yes the original singer is a Russians called Vitas aka 'The human violin' and Vitas is very popular in China so everyone knew the song. However Vitas only sings high 3 times in his, Dimash out did him with two extra key changes, and added the staccati. He man's a beast, you just wait, he's very addictive! And he has something for every mood Subbed for more Dimash! He has a vast amount of performance under his belt now so be prepared, it could take a while! 💞🦌
